Initiations #7

As a big fan of Anabolic's many titles, I greeted INITIATIONS #7 with high expectations, knowing full well that for the next two hours, twenty minutes, I would get a nonstop onslaught of all-out action and the dirtiest sex a raincoater could ever want. Of course, this video met all of my standard expectations. There are eight girls in nine scenes, including two blowjob only but to completion (and some swallowing) segments featuring African American cutie Cashmere, Kyla Fine, Zoe Young and blonde Julie Ryan (prominently featured on the cover) who looks like the more cherubic and larger boned sister of Rebecca Lord. As always, Anabolic gives us a much appreciated Cumshot Recap and brief in-between interviews with the up and cumming performers. No one could possibly question whether they are getting their money's worth.

And yet...this video, despite ten individual scenes (including two blowjob to completion segments) didn't impress me that much. In fact, all the scenes following Monica Mayhem's dual action opener with Mr. Marcus and Mario are fairly standard and routine. Most of the girls are blindfolded at the beginning, and the guys enter them from behind (and in the behind, as was the case with Cassandra) unceremoniously. No one could really find fault with any of the hardcore going on-screen, but it's done so proficiently and so mechanically that most of the scenes look alike, despite the variety one-on-one and threesomes at work.

Kyla Fine is cute, but her blowjobs rely too much on the hands. She also has a somewhat bored, vacant look in her eyes (even when swallowing) that I find distracting. African American Victoria Style has the best, smiling attitude among all the girls, and she willingly, if not with some hesitation, sucks off his cum like a pro. Cassandra, who performs in the third vignette has large, natural breasts, but her overall looks don't do it for me. She handles her Mario and Pay Mune pretty well in well-shot DP and anal action, but that's about the best I can say about her.

Julie Ryan acts a bit too goofy on camera to really float my boat. I like a girl that giggles and knows how to flirt with the camera like Jenna Haze, but it doesn't quite work for Julie despite her two scenes. Calli Cox asks "Am I doing okay?" in between licks during her BJ session (rest assured, she does quite well), but she doesn't put too much effort into capturing the goods in her mouth.

In fact, with the exception of British tart Zoe Young (who looks cute in a pink skirt and moans and gasps like she really enjoys it) and Monica Mayhem, none of the women would be mistaken for Miss America. Sure, we know that not all the players can be expected to be the raving beauties that Vivid gives us, but Anabolic has given us greater and sweeter eye-candy than we get here. (Briana Banks/Mirage and Monica Sweetheart have done some of their best work for Anabolic/Diabolic.)

Despite my middle of the road reaction to this DVD, it's good to know that Anabolic maintains their high standards for excellent video and audio quality. However, they still need to beef up their extras (the Photo Gallery, trailers and website info falls below reasonable expectations for bonus materials) and the chapter index on the written insert (which identifies ten chapters altogether) does not correspond with the seven chapters accessible on the disc.

INITIATIONS is a good piece of porn, but probably not a keeper.
