Balls Deep 3 (Anabolic)

Though not a sequel at all, in the sense that its purpose is to further develop (or rehash) a story or premise established in the original flicks, BALLS DEEP #3 does give us more of the same kind of action, with the same manner of direction, videography, settings, and pacing which were so successfully executed in the first two volumes of the series. What you basically get is a formula series where the only variable is the co-starring performers, namely, the babes.

Therefore deciding on whether to pick up this title is simple: if you like the women in it, you'll enjoy the video. If none of the performers appeal to you (an unlikelihood, given the number and different types appearing in each volume), then you better look for another title. My personal favorite of the series happens to be BALLS DEEP #2 because of the eye-batting and dick-wanking appearances by Taylor St. Clair, Paige LaSalle, Daniella Rush and Sophie Evans. The original flick, which I reviewed after watching #2, benefits from the likes of Nikita Denise and Adriana Sage, but isn't nearly as thrilling as its successor.

And as for the third edition of this series...? Well, unfortunately, this follow-up edition and its cast of characters didn't quite capture my fancy, either. There are six standard vignettes: Jewel DeNyle gets worked over by Lexington Steele which includes anal and a facial; Miko Lee joins Erik Everhard and Lex for a DP and twin facial finale; Monica Sweetheart, Diana DeVoe and Lex share a threesome (in my opinion, this is the best scene in the flick despite the absence of anal or extended lesbian loving); Calli Cox is then paired with Lex; Kristy Love gets between Lexington and Jon Dough for a DP; and finally, Delfynn, a bleached blonde who has a distinctively super-slutty look, takes on Vince Voyeur, Mr. Marcus and Mario in a double vaginal and double anal(!) mini-gangbang. All the scenes have a healthy amount of deep throating, and each coupling involves multi-positioned fucking, which eventually ends in a facial cumshot. There is no doubt that the status quo of Anabolic quality hardcore is met here.

The scenes with Delfynn and Kristy aren't too shabby. Both girls go through their scenes with energy and stamina, but no real excitement is created. And I've seen Miko Lee get it on with Lex so often (namely in LEX THE IMPALER and UP YOUR ASS #18) that it's gotten rather predictable and tiresome. Only the presence of the forever sexy Monica Sweetheart, who always looks terrific and can handle Lex well enough alone but is matched with African American performer Diana, saves this disc from an average rating. This is not to say that the hardcore is bad in the least bit; it's just more than a bit routine.

Jewel De'Nyle appears on the box cover, which also touts this video as being "one of her first ever interracial scenes" (which seems to mean that she probably did a bunch of interracial scenes at the time of this production if we take this line literally). Ms. De'Nyle has a large fan following, so her opening scene with Lex is sure to please her devotees (or alienate them, depending on their upbringing and what part of the country they're from). Unfortunately, I have to say that this video does not flatter her, because the bright lights and close-up camera work have the unfortunate result of bringing out every pock mark, pimple, scratch and stretch mark found below her waist in well-detailed digital clarity. (All women in this video are shown without the benefit of any "softening" lenses, but Jewel's scene suffers the most from it.)

The bonus materials are the same old stuff we recognize all too well from this studio: trailers on the B-side, as well as a Photo Gallery, animated menu, promotional info, and Cumshot Recap (the best part of all Anabolic discs). Extras don't matter much to me as long as the main feature looks its best, but after a couple years, it is about time that Anabolic start beefing up their DVDs.

BALLS DEEP #3 is the RETURN OF THE JEDI entry in this three part (and continuing) hardcore series, which is composed of a very good original, a superior first sequel and a lesser third part. At least Jar-Jar Binks isn't in it.
