Gangbang Girl 5-6, The

Anabolic Video's "Gangbang Girl 5 & 6", made in 1992 and starring the beautiful brunette porn star Ashley Nicole, is important for a couple of reasons.

First, it allows younger porn fans an opportunity to discover this star of the early 90's. Coming into the business in John Leslie's "Curse of the Catwoman," Ashley was a beauty that is seldom seen in porn today. At approximately 5'10" with shapely legs and round firm ass, Ashley commanded attention whenever she was on screen; she has a "carriage" and "grace" similar to a runway model's. From the waist up, she was near perfect: Enhanced breasts just right for her size; flowing dark hair encasing a face so attractive, she rarely needed makeup.

They just don't have porn stars with her looks in the industry today; Ashley was like a poor man's version of Racquel Darrian (Oddly enough, both Rocky and Ashley were born in the mid-west; maybe the best looking women are in the heart of our country!).

The other important thing about Ashley Nicole is that although she was just in the industry for about four years, she -- like Ginger Lynn -- never gave a performance that's not worth watching. Her best work is in "Curse..." as well as "New Wave Hookers 2" and "Anal Assassins" and she was known in the early days of video porn for doing anal and multiple guys. Which brings us to "Gang Bang Girl 5 & 6".

This DVD is a combination of two videocassette releases and has four scenes, all of which could have been much, much better if there was a talented director or editor involved. The premise of this gangbang is simple: Ashley is getting married in a couple of days, and she and Heather Hart go on a fuck spree in anticipation of Ashley having to become a one-man woman.

The sexual set-ups are: A 5-man gangbang in a bar (with Ron Jeremy participating and calling the shots); a 5-man gangbang in a tailor shop, with Ed Powers calling the shots (no sex) and Jake Steed's impressive cock receiving the most attention from Ashley; a 6-man bang in a restaurant with Jamie Gillis participating and calling the shots; and a 9 or 10-man finale at Ashley's "wedding", with Gillis again calling the shots.

Note: Although Heather Hart is in every sex scene with Ashley and the gangbang guys, she only does oral sex in this video -- with every man cumming on her face/in her mouth. This is very distracting -- the viewer really only wants to see Ashley get fucked; but, as I recall, Heather (at the time) was the girlfriend of porn director Greg Dark, and was trying to cut-back on boy/girl sex (Bill Clinton should have called Heather as a witness to define "sex" at his impeachment!). Whatever!

Anyway, every scene has some visual delights for the viewer. The bar scene has several great shots of Ashley on her back, naked except for white stockings and garter belt, legs spread wide with a guy in her pussy and another in her mouth. Guaranteed boner!

In the tailor shop scene, Ashley is obviously in love with a very, very young Jake Steed's cock. She sucks and rides him from start to finish -- ignoring the other poor guys in the scene. She is definitely enjoying herself. By the way, Ashley, like many popular female porn stars, is a Latina but doesn't "play" ethnic in her videos.

The restaurant scene has some very good shots of Ashley, again spread wide on a table with rotating cocks in her mouth -- and some one-shot porn stud (a bodybuilder type, maybe from the gym where Chris Alexander works out) pounding away in her pussy.

All of the above scenes, however, suffer from poor framing of the shots by the director and editing that must have been done by a blind man. Just as some guy takes one or two strokes with Ashley, the editor cuts to a shot of Heather sucking some other guys cock. If the idea was to build sexual tension for the viewer, it fails. Also, the video has an overall "green" tint to it -- which indicates poor lighting.

The wedding bang/finale is very poorly staged -- obstacles in the way of the camera, positions changed back and forth, out of sync, and no sexual progression or build-up. As I said, the talent in this DVD is IN FRONT of the camera!

Also, as pointed out in the beginning of this review, there are A couple of important things about this DVD. Besides acquainting the viewer with the now-retired (since 1993) Ashley Nicole, it also presents a younger, kinder, gentler Anabolic Video Productions company.

While there is some hair pulling, name-calling and some light roughness, there is nothing in this DVD that compares to the 1999 and Y2K Anabolic productions. This is a welcome relief for the viewer who believes that porn is about pleasure -- not degradation. But, I guess Anabolic had to find a way to stand out in the porn market from the rest of the pack. That's just good business, I suppose, but for me "Gang Bang Girl 5 & 6" will be one of the very few Anabolic videos I can recommend.

Finally, there is a decent "B" side to this disc, with previews of many of Anabolic's more recent videos -- the rough-edge apparent even in these previews, and will demonstrate the changes that the company has made in its viewpoint of porn/women.

The Final Word: Buy this DVD if you're not familiar with, or are already a fan of, Ashley Nicole -- she's worth the money. And, hopefully, more of her many, many early 1990's videos (from other companies) will make it to DVD as well.
