Trial by Copulation

Trial by Copulation takes place in a futuristic time where there are many wandering eyes and the female police are hotties dressed in PVC and fishnets. Sounds great! However, Herschel Savage doesn't think so and local law enforcement storm his door to serve court papers and gather evidence. Two police hotties, Gwen Summers and Phyllisha Anne, start the process with a blowjob that soon turns into a very dominating three-way that is quite stimulating. The last few moments of this scene was a little more than I could stomach, but some of you will find it to be great raunch material. They leave with the evidence. Mr. H (Herschel Savage) is confused, but manages to all the same. He dreams of a very mysterious girl, played by the erotic Caroline Pierce. Next day at court, Syren, playing the judge, assigns him a lawyer. At this point, I must note that the art direction and costuming is spectacular, although at times the story is a bit hard to follow. Mr. H comes across two little girls who are playing with their dolls. Teasing him, they start to play with each other. Katie Gold and Inari Vachs do a great acting job, but their sex scene is a little lackluster.

The next day, Mr. H meets up with his lawyer, Tina Thomas, who is starting to get busy with her other client, Mark Davis. Tina and Mark go through many positions, ending with a facial. She dismisses Mr. H to a therapist. At a restaurant, he meets up with his fiancée, only to find out that his life is getting worse. She is putting off the wedding and picks out another man, Ian Daniels, to have sex with in front of him. I have always been partial to Syren and found this scene to be very hot. A colorful DJ character played by Anthony Crane points out that all the authority figures are women...so what's a man to do? Mr. H decides that he'll go home like a good boy. His therapist is played by the very exotic Dee, who mixes voodoo with sex. Her writhing and nimble body is impossible to ignore, but the pig head and dead fish seen here grossed me out a bit. Court is called to order and the judge decides on "Trial by Copulation". Life or death is determined by sexual skill. The ending is a bit bizarre, but overall the visuals are very good. Lots of facials can be found in this project, along with some very sensual talent. Trial by Copulation is a memorable flick even if it did drag on several times and had a few stomach turning moments.

The DVD offers some of the usual extras such as scene skipping and company info. Cast listing offers the usual stats with a photo that changes and an option to skip to the girl's sex scene. There is also a slide show with pictures from the actual movie, which is always nice. Behind the Scenes is really worth your time. It offers a running behind the scenes video with freeze frame on each girl identifying her, which is always helpful. There are some great interviews, along with an interesting montage of behind the scenes footage. The Trailers section lists movie stats with a picture of the box cover, description of the movie, and a trailer to watch. This DVD actually offers a language selection of English and German. This is definitely a worthwhile DVD, offering high production quality, decent storyline and some good sex.

The wacky title gives you a pretty good indication of how bizarre this fetish feature is. Syren plays an "underjudge" named Ms. Stellar who sentences Mr. H, played by porn veteran Herschel Savage, to "Trial By Copulation".

Recalling Joseph K. in Franz Kafka's novel, The Trial, Mr. H. has no idea why he is being arrested. Evidence here seems to mean sexual desire, but things get increasingly paranoid in the film, and we never learn just why H. was arrested. The opener has two fetish cops, Gwen Summers and Phyllisha Anne, walking down a corridor intercut with the credits and they bust Mr. H. in his apartment. When they find him with an erection, Summers tells Mr. H. "this is very bad" and orders Phyllisha Anne to investigate the evidence. She gives him a blowjob while Summers restrains him with a nightstick around his neck and laughs intermittently. The two of them go down on him and then have intercourse. The scene is so-so, although I liked the girls' outfits. The film gets an A-plus for costume design.

The two fetish cops collect the "evidence" after he comes by a rather gross process, passing his cum from Anne's mouth to Gwen's mouth and then into a test tube. They leave by giving him a court summons. He dials his lawyer but gets a message saying the number has been disconnected. The same thing happens for every number he dials. He then appears at court where we see the same wandering eyes poster behind the judge (Syren), wearing a bright yellow wig. The eyes start popping up everywhere in the film. At court, H. learns he has been arrested but he has not been charged. Two women clerks (Shiva Lovetotal and Sandra Califax), who unfortunately do not have sex in the film, laugh throughout. The judge tells them to be quiet. She assigns Ms. Gruemlyn (Tina Tyler) as his attorney, but he is dismissed without being told how he can contact her.

H. calls his fiancée, Francis, (also played by Syren) who says they may have to put off the wedding until after the trial. H. walks down a hallway and meets two women (Inari Vachs and Katie Gold) dressed as young girls playing with their dolls. They tell him he can watch them but not touch. They have a very hot lesbian scene. Gold's pussy looks quite wet, and Vachs is very happy to lick and drool over it. Gold returns the favor. Both women are very well made-up.

H. goes back to his apartment. He picks up panties from floor left by a mystery woman wearing a body suit with panties and a bra. He then shows up at the office of Ms. Gruemlyn (Tina Tyler). She's with a client (Mark Davis) and tells him to sit down. H. watches while they begin dancing and then have sex. The cunnilingus and ass reaming are great. Tyler has very pointy nipples from her boob job. Like most of the scenes in this film, it was much shorter than it could have been and we get fewer positions than I would like. Doggy style is my favorite one here.

After the sex, Gruemlyn gets Mr. H.'s file. She says he has a very delicate case and recommends a session with a therapist, Ms. Sabot, to "remove certain psychological predispositions." Like most viewers will do, H. asks "What are you talking about?" After going to bed, H. shows up at a bar. Again the eyes are in the background. And again we see a great costume. A woman on a pedestal is holding an umbrella and wearing a hoop skirt and stockings and boots. H. meets his fiancée, Francis, whose mother is troubled by the trial, H. tries to reassure her. She tells him she's seeing another man and she's in love with him, so the wedding is off. He thinks her mother is behind this. The bartender knows about his case. Firancis grabs a busboy and starts having sex while he and the bartender discuss his case. This scene is decent, especially Syren's blowjob. She looks like she is really into it. H. has a conversation with the bartender who says it's a big plot. The bartender points out that all the people involved in H.'s trial are women - "it's a plot to eliminate us men," he says, and adds "women have always had control of that sex thing." After H.'s attorney tells him that court administrators have been plotting to speed his case up, Mr. H. again returns to his apartment where the computer voice (also a woman) tells him that this mother has called three times.

So the film gradually becomes the story of a paranoid guy who has a problem with women (even his Mom) and with female sexuality especially. H. next shows up at Ms. Sabot's for some strange therapy in a voodoo room with African music playing. Ms. Sabot (Dee) dances as two tribal men and Mr. H. watch. This is one of the hotter scenes of the video. Dee gives good head, and she does some anal as well as a DP. There is a speeded up review of various shots from the scene at the end that really works well. Afterwards, the fetish cops show up to bring H. back to court.

At court, new evidence has come to light - the Judge holds up a bra and drops it. Then one of the clerks runs a film on the 8mm, and again we see the mystery woman who has appeared briefly in sepia footage at several points earlier in the film. In this case, the film goes to normal color, and the woman (Caroline Pierce) gives H. a blowjob. Because of the new evidence (the film footage) the Judge says she has "no choice but to declare trial by copulation." Before we learn what that means, H. returns to his apartment where he sees Vachs and Gold. They offer him sex and he turns them down. H. goes to in his apartment and then wakes up in the courtroom. Another man is present, as are two women (Temptress and Azlea) dressed as bondage cheerleaders, and the judge finally explains what the trial involves. To win, you have to have intercourse for 60 minutes. At that point, a bell will ring, and the first man to ejaculate goes free, and the other dies. Premature ejaculation means death, and so does not getting a hard on. Temptress really shines here. She's a major young slut. Great costume and great pigtails. I look forward to seeing more of her work. Guess who loses the trial? Right! Mr. H. loses as he cums in second, so to speak. He is then executed by hanging, but after he falls through the trap doors he is in free fall wearing a parachute. He lands in a desert with no one around asks "Now where am I?" Is this a dream? Real? Is he in hell?

In its favor, the plot has imaginative sex and the mood music is good, often reminiscent of Angelo Badalamenti's score in David Lynch and Mark Frost's "Twin Peaks" television series and mixed with industrial techno. The acting is actually pretty good, especially Summers and Syren. But the main problem is with most of the seven porn scenes. The actresses are hot and pretty enthusiastic, but many of the scenes are so darkly lit you can't see the actors as well as you'd like. And they are awfully short. There is much too high a ratio of feature to sex. Also, the high speed camera work, zip shots to close ups and frequent cuts are creative but don't really generate enough heat, and don't make up for the relatively few positions in each scene and the formulaic sex in them: oral, to intercourse, to external shot on the girl's mouth. If you like weird fetish films with good actresses and reasonably good sex, then I recommend this DVD.

The extras on this DVD aren't bad. There are nine animated chapter titles and there is even a list of the credits. I wish all pornos had them! There is also a cast list with animated chapters for each scene which Dee, Gwen, Katie Gold, Phyllisha Anne, Syren and Temptress appear. There is an awful slide show/ photo gallery. And there is a human, funny behind the scenes featurette. The girls seem to be enjoying themselves, flashing their wares to the camera, and of course claiming that they frequently cum on camera. Yeah, right! I really liked Temptress. She is funny and really hot!

It's been a long time since I could say "now this is a porno!" It's got a great feel, great story and great sex. Herschel Savage is fantastic in this. The behind the scenes footage is really funny and probably worth gettting the disc alone.
