Joanna's Angels 2: Alt. Throttle

Like the first Joanna's Angels movie, Joanna's Angels 2: Alt. Throttle is low budget and a bit goofy...but still a whole lot of fun. Once again the movie has been written and directed by Joanna Angel herself - and she brings a sense of lightheartedness and fun to the proceedings that reminds me of the way they used to film adult features back in the 1980s.

Joanna and her team of Angels (Sabrina Sparx and Kylie Kross) are all back in this sequel; and this time the Angels have decided to bring a man into their fold - Tommy Pistol, who plays the part more as a scared sidekick than a leading man of action. The story revolves around the President's daughter (Dana DeArmond) who has been by Charlotte Stokely, who wants to bring an end to all things "Alt".

Mr. Marcus stars as The President, and he hires Joanna and her girls to help find his daughter. But before Joanna launches her investigation, she has a little fun with both the President and James Deen in a three-way that is the first sex scene of the movie. The scene takes place in the President's office and includes Joanna getting anal from James and a DP from both guys (with Marcus in her pussy in both of the double penetration positions that are tried).

Tommy is sent out by Joanna as part of the case, and he runs across Pixie Pearl and is soon making out with her. The action includes standing doggy, reverse cowgirl, missionary, and a pop-shot that has Pixie lying back with her mouth open and Tommy shooting down onto her.

Art imitates life, so it's perhaps no shock that one of the scenes has President Marcus getting a blowjob from one of his interns. The suck-off comes from Pinky Lee, and it's a blowjob-only segment - although it's immediately followed up with a full-blown sex scene between Marcus and Kylee Kross that includes missionary, reverse cowgirl, standing doggy and an internal pop-shot into Kylee's pussy.

Sabrina and Tommy finally find Dana DeArmond, but she's been by bad music and the pair decide that the only way to snap her out of it is by having sex with her. So we get to see a threesome between Dana, Sabrina and Tommy that includes a lot of girl-on-girl licking and fingering, and some nice doggy anal for Dana from Tommy.

The final scene of Joanna's Angels 2 has Joanna's second scene...which is almost two scenes in themselves. First, she gets into some girl/girl with Charlotte Stokely; and then the two girls get into a threesome with James Deen that includes Joanna getting anal in the missionary position. There's also some nice cum swapping at the end, as James shoots into Charlotte's mouth, who then swaps with Joanna, who swaps it back!

Extras on the DVD are okay but not spectacular, with a commentary track that features Joanna and some of the cast and crew, plus a 7-minute behind the scenes segment and a 6-minute "Outtakes" segment that is actually a look at the shooting of Tommy's escape scene that takes place in the movie.

My biggest problem with Joanna's Angels 2 (other than the fact that the movie is embarrassingly titled "Joanna's Angles 2" in the opening credits...come on guys, you didn't catch that?!) is how low-end the movie looks. Almost all of the takes look like they were first-takes, and little has been spent on quality sets or camera work. But the sex is still fun, and the movie maintains that lighthearted tone that Joanna brings to all of her flicks. So because of the movie's energy - and despite its overall look - I'm giving it a recommendation.
