Fantasy In Blue

Despite the alluring vision of Paula Price posing on the cover of FANTASY IN BLUE, this Wave DVD release is a rather nondescript video which tries to rely heavily on its strong fetish themes in order to generate its otherwise lukewarm erotic heat. Sexy Porsche Lynn gets all dolled up in fetish gear before indulging in a prolonged masturbation session, which includes some digital anal play, and she continues with the action throughout the movie and in-between other vignettes. While I like Ms. Lynn as a performer, I much prefer her in work like NIGHT TRIPS, where she had a stunning lesbian threesome with Tori Welles and Jamie Summers.

The movie starts to pick up when sexy brunette Paula Price gets it on with former husband Eric. Her deep throating skills have been sorely underrated in the annals of porn, and she remains one of the great unsung performers of the past. Her starring role in NIGHT TRIPS 2 has helped make that film one of my all-time favorite adult movies, and her curvaceous figure and hardbody is sorely missed in porn. She nuzzles Eric's cock between her pillowy breasts, and lies back for some missionary work like fuck-doll come to life. It is her appearance in this movie which made me reluctantly consider this video to be a near-keeper despite it's overall mediocrity.

Cute and kittenish Cameo is in a clinical lesbian scene with the less alluring Alice Springs. We don't even get to see them in the midst of foreplay; instead, their scene opens up with Cameo doggy-fucking Alice with a strap-on dildo. The change positions two more times, before fingering themselves to a boringly faked orgasmic frenzy. To make matters worse, the scene ends with some tight-lipped kissing between the two before fading back to Porsche Lynn about to give herself a shave (in the pubic region of course)! At the very least, we should see the two suck on each other's tongues to end the scene, but director Judy Blue can't even give us that token act of passion.

Since I'm not a fan of shaving scenes (just watching scissors and blades get that close to genitalia gives me a bit of a chill), I chose to speed search through that scene to get to Christy Canyon's disappointing straight scene with Tim Banger. There are at least three instances where their scene is artificially extended due to looping, which is especially noticeable when she does her amazing oral skills on his cock and balls. I understand that some videos have to pad out the running time, but it is so obvious here that I felt like my intelligence was being insulted. After he delivers a weak cumshot all over Christy's famous chest, the video ends with Porsche pushing a dildo up her ass. Then the movie ends without so much as a satisfactory ending lesbian scene with our hostess and one of the video's other stars. Again, what a waste.

Video and audio quality are generally good, as is the case with most shot-on-video Wave releases. The picture is bright and cartoony in color, especially due to the cheap sets where all of the action takes place (if you can call a couch and a table a true "set"). The extras are the expected bonus scenes found in a section called "XXXtras" as well as on the flip side of the DVD. Strangely, the menu has images of Jamie Summers in the background, although she is unfortunately nowhere to be found in the movie.

FANTASY IN BLUE feels less like a fantasy and more like a chore to review.
