Video Team, welcome to DVD!!!
Almost every adult studio has been tossing DVD releases to adult video enthusiasts over the last six months, and few have anything remotely resembling a quality product. Such is not the case with Video Team's first wave of DVD releases. One of the first four they released is, "United Colors of Ass," starring Midori, Asia Carrera, Jill Kelly, and RayVeness. What a collection of beautiful ladies it is. The choice of girls follows the interracial theme running throughout the movie, creating a multi-flavored masterpiece.
Video Team combines top-notch girls, decent plot lines, and creative dialog to entertain as well as arouse the viewer. Midori is a perfume maker that won't take no for an answer. She's invented a scent that is irresistible. Bad guys chase down the formula, but Midori has other plans. She knows how to get what she wants. Applying for a loan, Midori runs into Randy Spears?a loan officer that just needs a little persuasion to see Midori's point of view. Like a Midori Blowjob?complete with a heavenly ball lick. The director uses some interesting shot selections throughout including a shot of Midori and Spears through a camera lens that happens to be lying around. The shots help to breathe fresh air into the scenes. Not like the scenes need help, however, as Midori gives her juicy brown sugar to Spears eagerly. It is easy to see why she's the star of this flick as she passionately coos with "ooh," and "aaa's," moaned rhythmically to Spears cock assault. He winds up spewing on her precious face as she cleans his unit until it's good as new.
All of the sex in this movie is equally alluring. From the multi-girl photo shoot that turns into an all out lesbo-fest to a good Midori ass pounding, these are top-notch scenes. More importantly is the style that Video Team used in the sequencing of the scenes. For instance, during the photo shoot orgy, two vignettes are intercut together. One of RayVeness and the camera guy, one of the girls. They edit between the two not missing a lick of action. More importantly, this technique is not over used as to lessen its effect. Bravo Video Team! Very refreshing indeed.
The features on the DVD were well done. The standard Video Bios, Trailers, and Scene select are found here. Very informative as usual. Dialogue throughout was a bit low compared to the background music, though not enough to distract the viewer. It was passable. The picture was well-lit standard video. None of the harsh shadowing or washing that some low quality studios offer. Overall, a good, solid release. I am looking forward to more from Video Team.
United Colors of Ass
Plagued with the same pixelation and moire problems as Digital Team's other discs, this video probably looked better on VHS than it does on DVD. Strangely, the disc clocks a fairly high bit rate, but their relative resolution is poor. This can only be the product of bad MPEG-2 encoding, a problem which Digital Team needs to address.
United Colors of Ass also claims to have "never before seen footage," it appears to have been left off of the disc.
