Puritan Masque Of Sins

MASQUE OF SINS, a 1999 release from Puritan and co-directed by Jeff Nichols and "Jack," is a strangely disjointed collection of porno vignettes which all seem to have some aspect of entry-level fetishism about them. Unfortunately, while some of it works, a good chunk of this film (clocking in at a healthy 116 minutes (according to the DVD case)) is dragged down by excessive costuming and production values.

The film opens with a lengthy "most unusual orgy" starring Jenni McArthur, Liza Harper, Kristen, Petra, and Blondie Anderson in a sort of S&M setting all wearing feathery black masks, lots of black lace, fishnet stockings and leather strapping. The men, including Rod Fontana and Brick Majors are also done up in masks and bondage slave attire and used by the ladies for chairs and ultimately their sexual pleasure. There is a fair amount of fingering, oral, leather dildo action, BJ, masturbation and fucking in the usual positions but the fact that the ladies never dispense with their masks and excessively distracting clothing and the inherent multiple edits required to view all the various orgy action made this scene quite a bore. Orgy scenes are rarely arousing due to the fact that you never get a chance to linger on any of the action but the excessive costuming used here made this scene even more frustrating. After some of the ladies take male slave jizz on their faces, Liza Harper walks Rod Fontana up to the bedroom like she is leading a dog on a leash.

Once again, the two do not remove any of their S&M attire before engaging in some oral, BJ, missionary and anal action. (Liza eventually accepts a deposit on her gaping cornhole). Liza is quite a trim, attractive brunette and I was praying that she would take off that mask so I could see more than just her sultry mouth. Unfortunately, it never happened. Between that, watching Rod's unshaven, coffee cake-like complexion under his mask and Liza putting her fishnetted toes deep in Rod's hairy ass I quickly fastforwarded to the next scene starring Pat and Shelbee Myne.

This sequence, in a weird departure from the first, depicts Pat as a futuristic space guy (in silvery fireman coat and big red goggles - wow, spacey!!) on a mission on the planet Nympho (I kid you not). Pat frees the naked Shelbee, who is covered in cobwebs, and the two proceed to engage in a fairly routine suck and fuck right there on the rocky planet surface. In keeping with the "space" them, Pat holds up a big magnifying lens through which to watch the action. This whole concept was so goofy and inherently unarousing that I kept expecting Dr. Smith from the old "Lost in Space" T.V. show to come sauntering around a rock ("Oh, William! The pain, the pain!"). Shelbee takes Pat's space goo on her face before we move on to two more "down-to-earth" scenes.

Sultry brunette, Eve, stars as the girlfriend of Julian St. Jox, who owes money to dealer/bookie(?), Nick East. To settle the debt, Eve agrees to take care of Nick. Eve barely begins to gulp Nick's sausage before Julian gets into the act and the threesome go at it eventually ending up with some solid DP action before Eve takes payment from both guys on her face. However, the best is saved for last. Ultra-tan, and super-shapely Asian honey, Kasorn Swan, stars as "Little Shaver."

Kasorn settles down tubside in a large, opulent bathroom (Christ, that bathroom looks bigger than my house) and shaves her pussy over a mirror. While I am not real big on this kind of action, Kasorn makes quick work of her pubes and starts to finger herself before Dave Hardman pops out of the tub behind her. Kasorn gives him a brief BJ and gets some oral action before Dave gives this Asian hotty a vigorous, seemingly interminable pounding in a number of positions (including under a running shower) before leaving an order of cream of sum yung guy on her freshly shaven lotus blossom. Kasorn literally screams with delight throughout the scene and I was only mildly perturbed that the lighting was not better and that more time wasn't spent lingering on Kasorn's face as she squealed with pleasure. I must admit, this scene really did the trick for me.

All in all, this film has high production values, lengthy sequences and, literally, a little bit of everything for everyone (S&M, DP, shaving, interracial, anal, etc.). While I wasn't quite taken with every scene, this film is quite a good "sampler" of porn and is worth checking out, if for nothing else, than to see the super-hot Kasorn. Minimal extras include a photo gallery and this DVD comes with its own player software which was generally easy to use and worked well for watching this film on my computer.
