Dirty Western 2: Smokin' Guns

Shot on 35mm film, Dirty Western 2 emits the look and feel of a mainstream western from the seventies. This is an erotic film with a tried n' true western format - bandits and maidens. With this combination of plot and cinematography, the story becomes fairly believable - in porn terms, of course. In any "time-period" film, be it mainstream or adult, location, set design and costumes are key elements. With direction by Adele Robbins, Dirty Western wisely and carefully uses background sets and props (complete with an authentic-looking stagecoach) to convey this erotic tale of the Old West.

The story unfolds like this...

A stagecoach transporting four ladies and one gentleman (carrying a wad of cash) is attacked by an Indian sniper. With one driver dead and the other seriously injured, the coach continues on route toward town. Those are some damn smart horses, knowing where the town is all on their own. Anyway, as if the attack wasn't enough, the coach arrives and our anti-hero desperados take action of their own. It breaks down like this: The bandits herd everyone out of the coach while searching them for the "goods". The never-speaking gentleman stashes some dough in the coach's bench seats - unbeknownst to the marauding cowboys.

The tale slowly progresses to show just how "good-hearted" these robbers really are. Each one winds up choosing a maiden and having romantic interludes. Each couple appears to have a good sexual appetite, except for one. Brittany O' Connell plays the virgin. Seemingly enthralled by the charisma of the bad-guy leader, she still finds herself backing off a bit from his advances. Of course, that comes to an end - it is a porn film, after all. The sexual action is sparsely "heated" overall. That means, to some degree, there are some above-average scenarios, just not volcanic. Six sex scenes, contained within, offer the viewer some variety. Examples include: An outdoor washtub boff, some hanky-panky in the hay and a stagecoach slam, which consequently lends to the notice of the "hidden" cash by one of the bandits. The sex action in and of itself is limited in variety. Each coupling is with two people - no orgies and three-ways. There is no anal sex, but there is a decent lesbian scene that includes some anal-fingering. What Dirty Western does have, in the way of sexual practice, are some bad boys calming down for some soft-spoken ladies - in order to engage in mutual ecstasy. How is that accomplished? With blowjobs, cunnilingus and some reverse-cowgirl ridin'!

Unfortunately I must point out some oddities and negatives - it's only fair I do so. First... I personally think piercings are cool, but cowboys with nipple rings in the 1800's does seem a little out of place. I make note of this because so much care was taken in the overall set design and costuming that the nipple rings were so obviously out of place. Okay, that's not such a big deal when compared to the slow pace of Dirty Western 2. The acting was fair, but the pace of the dialogue and action disrupts the sexual intensity. The director may have been trying to develop a sense of suspense or anticipation, but the sequences lean toward sluggish. Even so, Dirty Western 2 will faire well with western fans and couples interested in more "romance" driven sex pairings. Fans of incredibly beautiful Lisa Ann will appreciate this film for the final sex scene alone. Lisa and her bad guy get it on in the barn - ending the scene with a righteous facial cumshot.

There isn't too much to say about the extra features. This movie was produced in the early 90's, so there wasn't much "extra" to add for the DVD transfer.

Dirty Western 2 is a great movie for couples who want to enjoy porn movies set into history. If you like the Old West then the scenery and the costumes are just great.

At times the plot is a little hard to understand. Nevertheless, it is still fun to watch the sex scenes.
