At Your Service

During the early days of adult DVDs (I'm talking about half a decade ago, for all you young whipper-snapper strokers out there), I used to greet every Marc Dorcel import title with open arms, a box of Kleenex and a jumbo size bottle of lotion. Like Private videos, VMD flicks were first-class, European productions and the upscale videography, exotic locales, numerous sex scenes and simply gorgeous women (Laure Sinclair was a personal favorite), were a welcome, if not jarring contrast to the often cheap, and sometimes borderline incompetent porn dreck from many American companies.

Today, there are a fair number of domestic studios producing adult material which meet and sometimes exceed the erotic quality of their overseas counterparts, so Marc Dorcel no longer remains the default gold standard for top-notch porn. Nevertheless, I was pleased as punch to receive in my review batch AT YOUR SERVICE. Even though gonzo reigns supreme when it comes to market-share, I'm pretty sure that full-length features are still appreciated by fans and general adult audiences alike. For that reason alone, I can recommend this Marc Dorcel flick presented by the good people at Wicked, one of the top American studios. Now just to clarify, the English title is AT YOUR SERVICE, but the French title is LA SOUBRETTE, which is descriptively translated as THE FRENCH MAID. To me, either title works well and so does the movie.

AT YOUR SERVICE crams eight full sex scenes within a running time of two hours and still manages to squeeze in a story. Director Tony del Duemo tells the majority of his story with a voiceover narration, and though the English translation is a bit stilted and vague, the story is rather insignificant to all the hot and heavy action going on. The beautiful Angel Dark plays (what else?) a submissive French maid (complete with tight white shirt and short black skirt) who looks after some injured guy recovering in a castle following an accident brought on by his own driving. (Prior to this incident, we witness our hero take part in a bit of foursome fucking with Cindy Lords and Cynthia Lavigne and another guy. Why after a night of hard-partying with these beauties does he feel the need to commit a DUI I have not idea, but I digress.).

As she flirts and seduces this guy (who rightfully should be behind bars instead of being pampered in a castle with of one horny babe after another), we get to witness the other invitees having a grand old time, with several of the sex scenes being watched voyeuristically through a two-way mirror by others. Even the owner of this establishment gets to have his dick sucked by the maid, who is probably thirty years his junior and one-tenth his weight. Of course, we don't even get halfway through this film before Miss Dark is opening up her backdoor to her patient's cock, in a hot one-on-one scene introduced by the maid playing openly with her fine body. The action isn't much different from what you get in your typical, above-average porno, but the build-up and the seduction add a great deal.

A standout scene involves a threesome with Angel and blonde Marie Lynn, who gets plowed endlessly by their lucky male partner as they work on each other by exchanging deep kisses and mutual licks of their private parts. The anal sex is hard and fast, though condoms are used for both girls. Also, an opportunity for a good, old fashioned cum swap is thwarted after their guy shoots his load on the two-way mirror. The girls try to make up for this by lapping at the glass and touching tongues, but it doesn't have the same effect as what you might find in any edition of MOUTH 2 MOUTH or CUM SWAPPING SLUTS.

One maddening issue I have with VMD DVDs is the lack of detailed cast credits, which make identification of each actor and actress in each scene nearly impossible unless you have a PhD in European porn. For the record, Alyson Ray, Angel Dark, Angelina Bella, Cythnia Lavigne, and Cindy Lords make up the very attractive female cast, and Horst Baron, Tito, Philippe Dean, Roberto Malone, Phil Holiday and JPX (which I assume is France's version of JFK) make up a group of lucky bastards who get to have their way with these women. Fortunately, thanks to your handy dandy Scene Index, provided as a courtesy by Adult DVD Empire, a scene-by-scene breakdown with each actress is listed in detail. Still, I want to admit upfront that I am unable to confirm each and every actor. (Well, who in their right mind watches straight porn for the men, anyhow?)

The thirty-minute behind the scenes video is excellent in its spotlight on the cast and in demonstrating how the scenes were shot. Although most of the verbal exchanges are in French, just watching the technician and actresses going through the hardcore scenes is genuinely entertaining. If you have doubts about sitting through a French made (no pun intended) production, take a look at this segment first to whet your appetite for the main feature.

Once again, as always, Marc Dorcel shows the American public just what it takes to make a hot and heavy feature production. AT YOUR SERVICE should be in your collection.
