Brianna Love: Her Fine Sexy Self

Let us all thank our personal Porn Gods for directors like John Leslie, who can make this tired, clichéd genre seem almost exciting again thanks to features like BRIANNA LOVE: HER FINE SEXY SELF which not only spotlights a visually stunning young performer, but also presents her in a flick which is sure to become a modern classic. Too many so-called "features" often are an excuse to string together unconnected sex scenes with cheap CGI-effects and a bare shadow of a plot with forgettable results where neither the hardcore nor the story are worth repeated watching, much less whacking off to. But John Leslie manages to create sexual drama without succumbing to soap operatics, and intense hardcore where characterization manages to play a part in how we respond to the performers. Is it the equivalent of XXX-rated Shakespeare? Well, no...of course not. Is it better than 90% of the adult movies out there? Hell, yes.

Throughout his career behind the cameras, Mr. Leslie has previously showcased up and coming performers in their own star vehicles: Naomi in NAOMI: THERE'S ONLY ONE, Christina Angel in DOGWALKER Tori Welles in CHAMELEON, Kathleen Jentry in THE CATWOMAN, Selena Steele in ANYTHING THAT MOVES and Lauren Hall in THE TEASE. What makes these stars memorable is that not only are they given a chance to perform dramatically (in spite of some severely limited acting talent), but it allows viewers to explore different facets to their sexuality, whether it's in the realm of fetish, or rough sex or whatever else strikes their (and our) fancy.

Here, Brianna appears in five of six extended scenes: first, with Mr. Pete and Mark Wood; secondly, with Darryl Hannah, Jean-Claude Batiste and Jon Jon; then with John West and Roxy De Ville; and later with Ben English, Mark Ashley and Max Makita; and finally with Barry Scott, Derrick Pierce and Justin Magnum. A final scene with Barry Scott, Christina Aguchi, Derrick Pierce and Justin Magnum concludes the movie. As you can tell by the roll call, Brianna often works triple and quadruple time pleasing multiple performers at once, but it she does apparently does it all, including anal, vagina and ass-to-mouth, facials and double penetration. I would have preferred seeing more girls in the mix, and found her threesome with Roxy DeVille (playing a waitress) and John West (playing a bartender) to be my favorite, even though it is the most conventional. For me, the only time where multiple guys are acceptable are in Anabolic's classic THE GANGBANG GIRL series, and only because of the creative facials and cum-swallowing and swapping at the end.

Unlike his early work for VCA, the "story" here is episodic: the central location is a bar, where she and Leslie (playing yet another dark and mysterious dramatic role) have some sort of svengali relationship. Given the generally serious nature of Brianna's carnal encounters (especially when she entertains Derrick Pierce and his gang of friends, where it is implied that she is assaulted for not complying with one of their final sexual requests), there is a "Looking For Mr. Goodbar"-theme going on here, but of course, this flick is far less cynical and far, far, far less shocking. For the casual raincoater who simply wants to see Brianna getting cocked hard in her quim and ass, and blowing guys with complete oral abandon, it's probably best to skip some of Leslie's narrative at the beginning and to speed-search whenever bodies are not in physical fucking and sucking motion.

This (redundantly titled) "feature movie" runs a full three hours and eleven minutes, and has a bonus DVD filled with one hour and eleven minutes of outtakes/extended scenes, as well as a CD of the soundtrack, with a little over thirty minutes of music. As talented as musician as Mr. Leslie is (he's had his own jazz/blues band play on several of his films for years), I can't imagine too many porn fans really paying that much attention to the music separate from the movie, but what the heck...it's a novelty.

I don't want to overhype BRIANNA LOVE too much - it's easy to go ga-ga (or in this case, goo-goo) over a superior porno after reviewing hardcore dreck after hardcore dreck. But suffice to say, this is one flick which will provide erotic satisfaction long after all others are forgotten.
