Not all that compelling COMPULSION
Self-touted as an "impulse driven comedy," COMPULSION struck me as being more light-hearted drama than "ha-ha" funny. As with almost all Wicked titles, this film is a classy production with great, dream-like visuals, and performances up to par with any other modern porn feature. What it does not have however, is anything else beyond the ordinary in terms of sex and story, and outside of the female talent, there really isn't that much too compelling about COMPULSION.
Main character actor Randy Spears plays a guy who uses support groups to pick up chicks. The premise seems amusing enough, but the execution might have been funnier had Spears adopted a persona like over-the-top sleazeball Quagmire character (from "Family Guy"). Instead, he plays it fairly straight, and the strained humor comes from the absurd situations and characterizations, none of which come close to being a laugh riot. Spears leading lady is the highly desirable brunette, Carmen Hart, who is also in group therapy because her husband was eaten up by a mountain lion. (That is about as interesting as the joke gets.). But once you ignore the pretense to comedy, and just sit back and enjoy the straightforward, couples-oriented sex, COMPULSION easily delivers the goods (and I mean "good" not necessarily "great").
The movie begins with a quickie between Spears and leggy blonde Brooke Banner, playing a nurse, who predictably shows up later in the movie wearing her vocational outfit. They first get it on in an alley and then reunite in the third scene for a more relaxed bedroom romp which showcases her lovely ass and fellating talents.
Though I am no fan of tattoos, Miss Banner has the right curves to make up for my personal misgivings about body ink. It was my pleasure, therefore, to see her yet a third time in this movie when she teams up with fellow wet nurses Lindsay Meadows and Regan Reese to please Barrett Blade. As threesomes go, this one is about average, due to the lack of original or inventive positioning among the ladies. Barrett spends some time schtupping Brooke while the other two girls eat each other, but more creative activity is what I expect in group sex scenes.
Carmen Hart appears in the second scene with Jason Arrow, in a rather domesticated affair perfect if you're watching it with your girlfriend of wife, but dull if you want to see Miss Hart get twisted inside and out. They snuggle and kiss romantically, then casually taste each other's private parts before fucking in a couple of standard positions. Carmen's great looks manage to make up for the cumshot which lands well below her face.
Better yet is her quickie with Mr. Spears, which is more aggressive and takes place on a car. Her blowjob work uses a wee bit too much handy work, but hotties like her can probably get away with that sort of thing. Randy bangs her hard predominantly in a doggie-style position, and then shoots his load all of her pretty face. She then falls to her knees to clean him up with her tongue.
Blonde and zaftig cutie Hollie Stevens is disappointingly underused in a throwaway sequence with Evan Stone, who plays a park ranger. She greets him, takes his dick in her mouth, sandwiches it between her tits, and then they fuck. It's one of those "afterthought" scenes which are thrown into the movie just give us more sex, but disrupts the main storyline.
Following the aforementioned four-way with Meadows, Reese, Banner and Blade (sounds like the name of a law firm), COMPULSION concludes with a short three-way involving Spears and the other two nurses, Regan and Lindsay. They jerk him off and he cums. That's it. I suppose that it's supposed to serve as a coda after the climactic four-way, but I was left thinking, "Oh...I guess that's the end." Naturally, I had to skip to earlier scenes to achieve the same kind of satisfaction that Randy just received.
The twenty-minute "Behind The Scenes" footage is as entertaining as it is informative, and focuses on David Stanley, who comes across as professional yet friendly as he directs his performers under actual filming (or rather, videotaping) conditions.. Unlike way too many "documentaries" of this type, we get a true look at the making of this picture rather than a hodge-podge of random and disjointed footage which usually comprise such featurettes. However, the main feature doesn't quite live up to the expectations of the director and his production. I enjoyed COMPULSION, but I feel no overwhelming urges to give it anything more than a lukewarm recommendation.
Disapointing, bad acting, jumping around to much.
Star was fine, but rest of cast was unbelievable. Fast fwd through must of it.
