Seymore Butts has become an icon in the porn biz, helping to bring the gonzo video craze to the fever pitch that it's at today. Along with fellow vanguards Randy West and Rodney Moore, Butts has touched the voyeur in all of us. Casting aside the studio setting for a lo-fi, action packed first hand look at the action, Butts heads up the higher end of the crowd; offering superior audio (technical limits considering) and decent video as well as interesting dialogue. As with Rog [see site review], this is the first Seymore flick I've seen as well, and it was definitely a good choice. In this episode, Butts meets Shane in person for the first time. One thing I learned was patience. It took a while to get to the good stuff, but once the action starts you'll see it's worth the wait.

First, we are treated to a recap of Butts' last adventure. We pick the story up as Butts races to airport to greet the gorgeous knockout Shane. Again, the wait is unbearable as Butts takes his time with tons of dialogue before finally fucking sweet Shane's brains loose. Choosing the balcony for the icebreaker, the couple fucks like wild animals for all to see. Shane slurps Butts' cock hungrily, pausing only to lick his balls. But this is lo-fi at its best. It's like listening to that cool garage band down the street. What Butts lacks in budget, he makes up for with soul. This is a must have for the collection.

Since this is one of my all time favorite porn videos of all time, I figured it should be my first Seymore DVD. The problem is apparent from the word go. While the movie is still filled with some of the best gonzo footage ever, the transfer is pretty horrid. Instead of a full re-master, all that has been done here is a straight CD-ROM transfer. While this may look fine on a computer screen, blown up to 35 inches, it makes everything beyond grainy. That said, on to the movie.

After a lot of waiting Seymore is finally going to meet his dream girl Shane. The long, drawn out introduction of this new porn queen took forever, and with the payoff finally in sight, Seymore's bad sense of timing might cost us a look at this Goddess. Wow with plot devices like that, who needs any sex at all. Yeah right and we watch "Friends" for the witty dialog and not to see Jennifer Aniston's nipples.

Upon picking Shane up at the airport, Seymore learns quickly that he is in for a wild ride. (Gotta love that naked beneath the trenchcoat shot in front of LAX.) A few minutes later, the lovely Shane has convinced a reluctant Seymore to pack a bag and head south of the border with her. Who could say no? Once she gets Seymore down to Puerto Vallarta, Shane shows her adventurous side, choosing to take a parasailing trip over the ocean. OK, so watching Seymore and Shane parasailing is short on sex appeal, but it adds to the feel of the tape. Very real and spontaneous, like some home movies that you wouldn't mind watching you know?

worth revisiting, if only to see the magic that is achieved by only the very best in the business. Seymore Butts in Paradise is the best, to this point, in a great series, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

While I still stand behind the review of the movie, the transfer is so terrible it takes a lot of the joy about it. If you really want a Seymore movie on disc, this is the best material available. I can't wait for them to do a real transfer so we can have the quality to match the killer action. While I can't recommend the DVD to everyone, I can say I am rushing off right now to watch the video again.
