Taxi Dancer

"Taxi Dancer" immediately begins with a nice lesbian scene between Tia Bella and Angelica Sin, two dancers at a dance club who are having their own type of fun during their break. They're feeling each other up before Bella goes down on her knees and proceeds to have a taste of Sin. A client comes in and wishes to participate. He asks" you two are a tease" and Sin says that's right. Bella is licking Sin everywhere before the male client feels Sin and notices her nipples are hard. He gets involved a bit, but only as a watcher. He is to satisfy his own needs before Sin goes down on Bella. This goes on for about five minutes before the owner of the club tells them that money is to be made on the floor, not in the back. There is tension in the air, and it sets the scene for what's to come in the rest of the movie. Bella walks out, but Sin and her client continue on, which leads to much more than a casual stroke. Sin gets it every way she can, including anally, before her man lets go on her.

While Tia Bella appears on the cover of "Taxi Driver", it is really Asia Carrera who gets star billing and actually steals the show. The film itself is centered around a dance club known as Loveland, where one of the dancers was murdered. A detective (Mickey G.) gets involved and investigates the situation. The detective talks with the club owner (Herschel Savage) and we begin to find out the story via flashbacks. We find out that Asia Carrera's character, Snow, was killed when someone came to her house and shot her in the face. We learn of how Snow answered an ad for exotic dancers and get to see her relationship with various people, setting up possible suspects. Once hired, she meets Tia Bella and finds out how the dance scene works and how one makes a lot of money. An older man comes in and Snow asks who he is. We find out that he is the founder of the club, and has been since the 40's. Snow seduces him through her dancing (Carrera often says on her website that she can't dance, but she looks fine on this DVD), and eventually Bella and Snow form a friendship. The viewer doesn't see what kind of relationship it is, but unfortunately it isn't a sexual one.

Eventually, Snow fucks the club owner (Savage) and it leads to a relationship between the two, one that is more than a sexual one. In their scene together, Carrera does even more dancing, slowly peeling off her clothes and showing off her pierced pussy. They both get hot and sweaty, Carrera sucks him long and deep, and all is well. Or so we think.

In between all of this, the detective is at the crime scene trying to get a feel for what happens. This means staying at Snow's home and consuming the scenery. He seems to have a fetish for lingerie, as he scoops up a nightie and places it in his nightcoat. One turn of the head and the detective is in a room with Snow. What is going on here? She eventually sucks him off, and as he's about to go into her, he turns his head and she's gone.

With more flashbacks, we see that Snow caught Savage having a threesome with two other dancers, Alexandra Silk, and Liza Harper. Snow is upset and leaves, but without knowledge of her presence Savage continues to have a great time, as he gets sucked, kissed, and reamed, and he does the same for two of his new lady friends.

The flashbacks continue, with the detective in Snow's bedroom, trying to figure out who might have killed her. He imagines a sex scene between Snow and a French man, only for him to be startled by a woman with a . It's... Snow? If you access scenes randomly, and hit upon this one first, you will definitely be confused as to what has happened. We quickly find out that Snow is alive, which means the person who wanted to kill her killed someone else. This only adds to the storyline (done quite well for an adult film). Through more flashbacks, we get to see Tia Bella have some nice outdoor sex with the French man, and discover what their relationship is about. We find out that when the finder of the club dies, he passes the ownership of the club to Snow, which pisses off the actual owner and Tia Bella, who has danced at the club more than anyone else.

Two of the hottest scenes are at the end, the outdoor scene between Tia Bella and Tim Hard. Hard seems to be a money-making opportunist, perhaps a pimp, perhaps a geek, but his home is equipped with man-made waterfalls. Bella and Hard are out to make some extra money, but in the meantime she is sucking him harder and longer than anyone could ever imagine. The best scene involves Snow and the detective, which happens once Snow has faith and trust in the man who was investigating her life. She wants to take a shower, and naturally the ol' detective follows. She dances for him, she sucks him, he licks her clean, and they both do it in the bathroom right in front of the mirror. It leads to the viewer being able to choose the multi-angle option, and the scene only gets hotter. Just the look on Carrera's face is worth the price of the disc.

In the end we do find out who was actually killed, who was the actual killer, and why. "Taxi Driver" also shows that Asia Carrera has the potential of being a decent actress, playing her role honestly and making it much more than a fuck fest. Director Paul Thomas put this film together very well, and the continuity is excellent, you don't leave this without knowing exactly what happened, and of course, without being satisfied by the action.

The DVD's interactive menu is great, as you are able to access different rooms, in the process reaching previews, bios, and scenes from other titles. You move within various rooms, making the menu itself a treat.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that none of the girls who star in this flick had to do much research to prepare for the roles they play. I mean, they're all mostly exotic dancers! That's not exactly a stretch for an adult film star, you know?! In fact, it's more often than not the profession of choice for most porn queens before they get into the biz and/or after they decide to retire from it. Despite my poor attempt at sarcasm, I'm not trying to belittle the ladies in any way, shape or form. In this case, familiarity with one's character definitely leads to some excellent performances. To their credit, the girls waste no time getting busy. And it's a good thing too because there's way too much plot filler strewn throughout this film for my tastes! It's the one negative of an otherwise enjoyable disc. Luckily, some strong performances - starting with the opening sequence - more than make up for the excessive storyline.

The camera immediately fades in on frisky Tia Bella (aka Tosca Paris) and Angelica Sin licking each other's bods from top to bottom. And to think they're only taking a break from their regular jobs as exotic dancers. Can you imagine what they'd do for paying customers?! Well, imagine no more! Sin shows exactly what a few bucks are worth to her. In the process, she also reminds us how she got her stage surname. Without a doubt, the way she sucks dick and gets fucked is "sinfully" good! The way her customer - Rich Handsome - fingers her twat is pretty impressive too. Of course, the best is still yet to come. (For that matter, Angelica and Rich are sure to "cum" soon as well. Ah, but that statement - pardon the pun - was ejaculated a bit prematurely.) First, we get to witness some multiple angle clips of this dynamic duo doing it cowgirl style (with Angelica on top, natch!). Then, in one of my favorite moments from this movie, Sin diddles herself and stuffs a dildo up her ass at the same time. Subsequently, she turns over on all fours, removes the sex toy from her rear and replaces it with Rich's rod. Some bone blowing and a creamy stream of spew to Angelica's face follows. Simply an outstanding scene. Believe it or not, all of that happens before the beginning credits even roll. As you'd expect, the promiscuous prologue had me chomping at the bit to see what would happen next. Much to my delight, I then got my first glimpse of Asia Carrera. YES!!!

Alas, my joy turned to pain when an unknown assailant allegedly stuck a in her face and blew her away. Fortunately, I'd be able to watch her fuck in several flashback scenes later in this movie. The first Asia vignette is merely a tease and involves her and Tia doing some light petting and French kissing while dancing in the club. After the place closes, however, she becomes the private dancer of Mr. Herschel Savage (playing the role of her boss - Ted Gibson). Eventually, she strips down on stage and Savage fucks her silly. Before playing "ride 'em cowboy" with Herschel's bone, Asia also takes the time to give him a serious hummer. Some lighting problems midway through the encounter hinder the multiple angles that show A & H screwing doggy style. However, the problem is rectified just before Asia takes a serious cum shot to - of all places - her neck (Herschel apparently missed the mark here.). Hersch's huge wad drips down to Asia's tits as the scene fades to black.

Well, that was a nice start for Asia. But I wanted more, much more! To my chagrin, I had to wait patiently while some of the other taxi dancers took center stage. In hindsight, though, I had no problem with this because they all looked great. But take warning. In between their antics, you have to sit though the aforementioned plot filler, which basically revolves around police detective Joe Parker (Mickey G) searching for Asia's alleged assassin. Not the best way to "kill" a few minutes, but I guess I shouldn't complain, especially since the trail of clues leads to another of Asia's sexual experiences. This one involves the perceived ghost of Asia's playing around with Mickey G. It's not as good as her hook up with Herschel, but it's still worth a peek, if for nothing else than to catch a glimpse of Asia touching herself. At this point, the inordinate amount of flashbacks made things a little confusing (Yeah, I know who really cares about the freakin' plot. But, as a reviewer, I have to look at all aspects of this flick, so just bear with me.).

Another trip down memory lane has Asia stumbling upon Herschel (who apparently is her boyfriend) cheating with two other dancers (Alexandra Silk and Liza Harper). The highlight of this clip is when Harper takes a vibrator up the puss and Hersch's cock up has ass simultaneously. Then, the movie segues into yet another flashback where Asia's new on screen lover Rudy Jarvis (played by Tim Hard) two times her with Tia Bella. The two manage to squeeze a lot of cool positions into a matter of minutes. Tia, of course, is a pleasure to watch. Boy, does she take a great facial!

After that the movie leans heavily on the plot until it draws to a close. Some twists and turns along the way result in the most unexpected pairing of all. Obviously, I don't want to give away the ending. All you need to know is that it involves the two mystery partners having sex in the shower before everything is wrapped up quite nicely. Overall, another solid effort from Vivid.
