Brea's Crowning Glory

Although his name isn't quite on the level with an Andrew Blake or a Michael Ninn yet, Club Jenna director Laurent Sky just might be serving up the most visually appealing porn on the market right now. And unlike Blake and Ninn, who sometimes sacrifice the erotic in favor of interesting images, Sky's porn almost always manages to turn the viewer on in addition to looking great...and such is the case with the latest Laurent Sky project, Crowning Glory. The release is also notable for another reason - it marks the Club Jenna debut of American Sex Star winner Brea Bennett, who also does her first-ever boy/girl scene on this DVD.

Those familiar with Sky's work will see the same kind of film-style here - scenes shot in a music video-like manner, with quick cuts and a very glamorous look to them. Unlike some other directors who shoot in with a similar style, Sky is sure never to let his vision for the scene interfere with the sex that is taking place between the performers, meaning the home viewer is almost never unsatisfied with the sexual action.

Brea's boy/girl scene is up first, as she teams with Marcus London. She's wearing black boots and a video-powered belt that scrolls the word "Sexy" in blue lettering across the front during the action. After watching the blonde-haired Brea show off her blowjob skills for a few minutes, the penetration begins, and we get to see her in the reverse cowgirl, standing doggy and missionary positions. For the climax, Brea removes the belt and holds it out for Marcus so he can shoot his load onto it. After he's finished shooting his load, Brea licks it off of the belt. Like the previous scene with Tiffany, this scene doesn't hold anything back, and not only do we get to see McKenzie get anally pounded, but she gets a nice double penetration as well - with Jean up her ass and Tommy in her pussy. The climax is quite impressive as well, as McKenzie gets two huge loads plastered all over her face.

Brea's back for the next to last scene, which is a girl/girl pairing with Sue Diamond (who's now using the porn name of "Diana Doll," lest anyone confuse her with fellow adult star Susie Diamond). This is the only girl/girl scene in the movie, and it's also the tamest scene of the five in Crowning Glory, but it's well-shot and erotic, so it's one you won't want to fast-forward through.

The longer featurette is a 11-minute segement entitled "Behind The Scenes of Crowning Glory" and includes interviews with some of the other cast members, including Tiffany Rayne and Hillary Scott. The bonus material also includes a slide show, as well as trailers for the Club Jenna titles McKenzie Made, Jesse Factor, and Krystal Therapy. The DVD also includes a feature-length commentary track with Brea and director Laurent Sky.

My only real complaint about this release is the fact that it hasn't been anamorphically enhanced - meaning viewers will be to watch the footage in the letterboxed format, regardless of whether they own a widescreen TV or not. Other than that, the video quality is quite good, and audio is presented in 2.0 Dolby.

Crowning Glory is a great first title for Brea Bennett as a Club Jenna girl, and one of Club Jenna's most entertaining releases of 2006. It's visually stunning - with lots of eye candy - but it doesn't forget to be erotically stimulating either, which means while it has the glossy look of a well-made music video, Crowning Glory also has the "whackability" of the best the all-sex genre has to offer.
