Even after nearly ten years since its original release, SEYMORE AND SHANE LIVE ON TOUR still packs an erotic wallop and is absolutely recommended for those who like creative and breezy gonzo material. Although Seymore has now produced far more explicit (and daring) titles, and his Tushy Girls (including Alisha Klass, Taylor Hayes among others) have gone on to bigger and better things, there is no reason why any fan of Mr. Butts' work wouldn't want to add this semi-classic title to his vault of porn.

I recall first viewing this LIVE months after its original release back in 1995 on that lowly, primitive medium we call videotape. Though I found some of the direction to be less than ideal, and the close-ups (particularly the blowjob segments captured from Seymore's point of view) a little too monotonous, there was a genuine sense of fun and frolic from beginning to end. The sex scenes were as exciting as they get in porn, and Shane herself was such a sexy, giggly, charming hostess, the whole viewing experience was worth repeating from beginning to end.

As the title suggests, LIVE ON TOUR is yet another travelogue into the sexual adventures of Mr. Adam Glasser and his very hot girlfriend, who would go on to produce the highly acclaimed SHANE'S WORLD series. We follow the two as Shane tours strip clubs in Dallas, Toronto and Indianapolis, and of course, their encounters with fellow pornstars, fans and other lucky folks are well-documented. The first sex scene is just a primer: Chelle, a curly-haired brunette with a cute smile, is introduced riding on a Sybian machine (which I can only describe as a motorized dildo) as she watches a Seymore Butts movie on her host's big screen TV. Those who may be concerned that our girl did not get some physical satisfaction for herself will be relived to know that Seymore (in another backstage scene inside Shane's dressing room) helps her reach orgasm by some fierce finger-fucking, deep kissing and hearty pussy-eating. The camera remains static and stationary while Mr. Butts does his work, but the scene works.

Even more fascinating is the introduction of Shawna, an attractive brunette with a sexy body who reminds me of actress Natascha McElhone, of "The Truman Show" and "Feardotcom" fame. Once again, the meeting takes place in Shane's dressing room, and our blonde hostess Shane can't help but describe this admitted fan of theirs in glowing, breathless terms. Seymore gets a double hummer to completion from a blonde and brunette who I could not identify. Viewers will notice that the picture in this scene is much clearer, brighter, crisper and certainly more colorful than the main feature. I can't account for the difference in visual quality - other than the obvious like better lighting and better video technology over the years - but I will say that LIVE ON TOUR on DVD still looks better than its original videotape form.

Even after almost ten years and tons of imitators later, SEYMORE AND SHANE LIVE ON TOUR still retains a freshness and excitement unmatched by most of today's titles.
