It's Good to Have Friends
In honor of the box cover for Ashlynn & Friends #6, I'm going to end every sentence with an exclamation mark! This way I can be just like how they describe the action! Digital Sin tends to make quite good films, and Ashlynn & Friends #6 falls into that good but not great category! Okay, I'll stop. Decent flick, really, and I like the way Digital Sin lays out who is on the disc along with a few screen shots on the back. Possibly the best way I've seen to do that (are you watching, Jules Jordan Productions?).
Ashlynn Brooke is in the first scene, and I guess she's the one for whom I'm supposed to go. But I think it's a mistake to have the guy who really likes brunettes and loses bodily control when confronted with a redhead review Ashlynn. She does nice enough work, don't get me wrong, though I really don't care for the way the director zooms out, then zooms in on an odd angle, and just can't stay still long enough to establish a shot. It's damn distracting and I'm starting to get a bit motion sick from it. A typical scene otherwise, really, though captured mostly well, with good lighting and good action. The important parts are all there. There is a pretty decent sized facial in the end, too.
Juelz Ventura is up seconds, the lithe brunette showing off on a staircase at first. I hate staircase introductions. The director always feels the need to shoot through the railing, and the focus is never set up to keep both sharp. And so it goes here: as Juelz strips on the stairs, we get wrought iron in our face. Some day directors will learn to stay out of their own way. It's a remarkably similarly bland scene as the first one, with no real surprises in position, location, lighting, or anything, really. There's also not that much heat to the scenes. Disappointing, given the potential here.
Back to the blondes with Jaclyn Case in the third scene. She gets the award for most obvious breast augmentation of the day. Not that this is a bad thing. Not at all, actually, as they look amazing. They just defy the laws of physics. I enjoy Jaclyn throughout this scene, really, even when she's using a (rather massive) toy on herself. I don't much care for toys in porn, viewing them as a kind of distraction, but there's a raw reality to Jaclyn's use that I like. It's lick, suck, fuck, facial, but there's actual heat to this scene, as though the talent actually wants to be there. One for three so far, and that'll get you in the Hall of Fame in some sports.
Kiki Vidis is up next, and she's the reason I wanted this disc. I wasn't kidding about the redheads, and dressing one up in a school girl uniform really doesn't hurt any either. She seems a bit more real to me, though she doesn't quite have the moves Jaclyn has, which is just a small disappointment here. I enjoy watching regardless. This probably gives away the secret to a disc like this: if you like the talent, you'll like the presentation. If you don't like the talent, you'll probably find it a bit boring. None of the sex is going out on a limb, yet the production values are solid throughout. Not a bad genre, really, so long as you can promote yourself well.
Oh, right, Madison Ivy has a scene on here too. And I didn't like it. See what I mean? You give me Jaclyn Case and Kiki Vidis, and I'm quite thoroughly pleased with this disc. With most products, a 40% approval rating would kind of suck. In porn, it can be the difference between a keeper and a give away.
Take a good look at the back cover image on this disc before you decide to buy it. If any of these ladies appeal to you in a strong way, you'll want to pick it up. They're presented well and it'll be 20 minutes of your life you'll look back upon favourably. If not, then maybe look for one of the other discs in the series... there's even some scenes from #5 in the bonus section of this disc. Or check out one of their Naughty College School Girls discs (I recommend #46 or #49). But Digital Sin does good work, and if you can find the girl you like, you'll be rewarded.
