Savanna Samson shows just how far a woman in Power can get in this moderately good, although not fantastic, Blu-ray release from Vivid Pictures. Directed by Chuck Lords (who most of us know better by his preferred alias, Paul Thomas), the movie offers up four vignettes where it's the women - not the men - who are in control of the sexual action.

Each scene is introduced by Savanna, who has worked her way to the top of the corporate ladder. In the first segment, she talks about her previous job as a drama teacher, and we are taken to a classroom scene where Savanna is trying to teach students Jack Venice and Charles Dera the importance of monologues. I've never seen a stripper pole in a classroom before, but there's one in this scene, as Savanna uses it to slowly strip out of her clothes and tease the two guys. It's not long before all are engaged in a threesome. The only real issue I had with this scene is that whomever set up the stripper pole didn't do a very good job and the thing lets out a loud squeak every time one of the performers touch it. Fortunately, they eventually move over to the teacher's desk. The threesome concludes with Jack jerking onto Savanna's ass, and Savanna jerking Charles mostly back onto himself.

Scene Two has Alex Gonz playing a former accountant who worked for Savanna who has returned to her company looking to be rehired. Instead of dealing with Alex herself, Savanna has two of her secretaries - Kelly Wells and Holly West - "deal" with Mr. Gonz. The resulting threesome is a lot of fun, and includes both girls getting anal penetration from Alex. The action wraps up with Alex jerking onto both their behinds, although the majority of cum lands on Holly's ass, which Kelly makes sure to lick up.

Next, we learn that Savanna was once just a secretary at her company, and her boss was Derrick Pierce. Although this scene starts in an office, the sex actually takes place in a bondage dungeon, where Savanna is in red lingerie and tied to a wooden bondage cross. Derrick releases her from the cross and locks her head into one of those wooden stocks (the kind they used to behead people with in revolutionary France) and her to give him head. After being released yet again, Derrick gives her some standing doggy and missionary, followed by anal in the reverse cowgirl, cowgirl and standing doggy positions. When Derrick is ready to pop, he jerks his load onto Savanna's chest.

In the fourth (and sadly, final) scene, Savanna gets involved in a little exhibitionist hanky panky with her married therapist (played by Nick Manning) and is arrested by a cop (Christian XXX) who takes the two handcuffed back to Nick's wife (Jenny Hendrix). After some bickering, a foursome ensues. I was hoping we might get to see Savanna DP'd here (as she's done in other movies), but this is basically just the four of them switching off partners until Savanna jerks Christian up onto her tongue (not much of a pop, by the way) and Nick shoots into both gals' mouths.

As adult Blu-ray titles go, this is a fairly sharp although not quite reference quality 1080i transfer. The same can't be said of the audio, however, which is only in 2.0 Dolby and a rather "muddy" track at that. Extras on the disc are about average, with a pair of Savanna bonus scenes (taken from the releases MILFWOOD and Shooting Savanna); a 9 ½-minute behind the scenes featurette; a slide show; and trailers for the releases of 20 Questions and The Other Side of Sunny. All of the bonus materials are presented in 1080i.

If you've updated to Blu-ray and are a big fan of Savanna, Power is a decent title to add to your collection. However, if you're just a casual follower of Ms. Samson, there are better Vivid Blu-rays on the market right now worth investing in.
