Girls Lie

Director Eon McKai has done a pretty good job establishing a "look" for his movies. Whether you call it "alt" or "goth" or "grunge" - the women are never dolled-up like most porn movies, but instead look more like the girl-next-door...or at least the girl-next-door if you live in the less affluent parts of society.

In Girls Lie Eon tells the tale of four women...all of whom have boyfriends and all of who wind up having sex with men other than their partners during the course of the movie. The first girl we meet is played by blonde Charlotte Stokely, who does a nice job of playing a -out addict (I'm not even going to ask if she's pulling from personal experience...oops, guess I just did!). She makes out with the very unkempt William Wood in this opening scene, doing it missionary and doggy style and getting his load shot down onto her face.

The next girl is newcomer Dana DeArmond, who made a name for herself on the internet before jumping into the porn industry. We get to see her in a scene with Joey Ray, that ends with him jerking onto her feet. Viewers who enjoyed this coupling won't want to miss an additional scene with Dana and Joey, which they can find on the second disc included in this release.

The very goth-looking Pixie Pearl (who kind of looks like mainstream's Elisha Cuthbert, except with dark hair, tattoos and piercings) teams up with the downright freaky-looking Zak Sabbath in Scene Three. The action here takes place in a filthy-looking apartment, with Pixie taking reverse cowgirl and standing doggy before Zak jerks into her mouth.

Our final girl of this movie's foursome is Riley Mason, who gets it on with boyfriend Alex Gonz before telling him that she needs to go off on a modeling assignment. This scene features penetration in the missionary, pile driver and doggy positions. Like most of the pop-shots in Girls Lie, we get an oral climax here.

While the first half of Girls Lie establishes who the four female stars are in a relationship with, the second half shows us the various ways they cheat on their significant others. Hey, this movie is called Girls Lie for a reason, you know!

Riley goes off to her "modeling" job, which is actually a porn shoot with "guest star" Tom Byron. We get to see some anal here in the missionary position, and the action ends with Tom jerking into her mouth and onto her face.

Pixie is out with pal Julius Ceazher when the two come across some house construction. They enter the not-yet-finished home and make out in an interracial sequence that was my personal favorite sex scene of the film. It features one of the better pop-shots, as Julius drops a nice-sized load onto Pixie's face.

We're not sure exactly why Dana cheats on Joey...except possibly for the fact that she's a nymphomaniac. She leaves Joey's place and heads over to Scott Nails' residence, where she awakens him on the couch and proceeds to get anal from him in the reverse cowgirl and doggy position.

The final scene in the movie is with Charlotte, who prostitutes herself in order to raise some money. She winds up at a hotel with a performer named Daniel, who tells her that he's gay, but is curious about having sex with a woman. After an exchange of oral pleasure, the two do it missionary and reverse cowgirl, ending with a blowjob where Charlotte sucks him off until he explodes in her mouth.

McKai's movie is presented in anamorphic widescreen, with a 2.0 Dolby track. The movie disc also includes a feature-length commentary track with McKai and select members of the cast and crew. This 3-disc set comes with a bonus disc full of behind the scenes material, with the third disc being a CD soundtrack of the many songs you'll hear in the movie.

The bonus disc includes a nice, 35-minute behind the scenes look at the making of the movie; as well as the bonus scene mentioned earlier in this review between Dana and Joey (which includes anal penetration and runs about 24-minutes in length). Also on the DVD is a mini-documentary entitled "We Weren't Welcome" that details how the owners of one home the movie was shot at were a little too paranoid about porn people being in their house. Rounding out the bonus disc are some photo galleries and the trailer for Girls Lie, along with the trailers for the McKai titles Skate Girl Fever and The Rebelle Rousers.

Eon McKai titles aren't for everyone. If you're into "glamour porn", you probably won't like this...but if you enjoy seeing average-looking girls getting nasty in situations that are closer to real-life than they are "the porn world", you just might enjoy watching Girls Lie.
