Perfection

PERFECTION stars wet dream blonde beauty Dasha in a less-than-perfect, but moderately entertaining, pseudo feature film from director Cash Markman - a pornographer who has hacked out more than his fair share of low-budget smut during the video heyday of the eighties and nineties. Unlikely leading man Eric Masterson plays a Hugh Hefner-type Svengali who cultivates women on the level of Lola and Kody. He meets his match, so to speak, when he encounters Marlee, played by Dasha, and tries to "put his mark on her" (as explained by Sunset Adams). Backgrounds, motivations and general characterization are explained to the viewer rather than demonstrated, a device which works well in Andrew Blake films (where beauty and aesthetics are the main focus) and is employed liberally here. Don't worry too much about skipping around during this movie: the plot is largely inconsequential to the couples-oriented hardcore.

Lola, an underrated actress who has been making frequent appearances for Vivid, gives Mr. Masterson a luscious blowjob before allowing him to insert it deep inside her. After banging her in a few standard positions, he cums on her mouth and she sucks and licks him a few more times before their scene fades to black. On a surface level, the sex here may seem to be less carnal than any random Red Light District flick, but there is a passion and tension in the couplings which make them more erotic than what is offered in most gonzo. (On the other hand, those who just want to see nothing but raw flesh and pounding genitalia may find PERFECTION to be a complete bore...)

Kody is up next, looking terrific while modeling for the guys, and then teamed up with Mickey G for an outdoor quickie. Unlike Lola, she is less inclined to taste her partner's cum, and lets it drip down her chin and away from her tongue. Dasha then gets screwed by Lee Stone in a flashback scene, and though it's fun to see her long, lean but curvy body get wham-bam-thank-you-m'aam-ed in the great outdoors, the concluding moneyshot to her ample chest is a disappointment. And since we're on the subject of Dasha, her finale with Mr. Masterson is similarly routine and straightforward, though the oral scenes are more aggressive and far more exciting. Yet once again, her breasts become the landing spot for his liquid orgasm. If this girl weren't so darned gorgeous (and a true sweetheart in person, as seen in the Inside Pornstars video interview), I might have actually boo-ed the less this less than exciting finale.

A highlight of this film is the lusty lesbian threesome with April, Sunrise Adams and Faith Adams. Be warned, however, that this is the only scene in which April and Sunrise appear, so if you want to see these girls get manhandled by man-meat, look elsewhere. Sunrise's exceptional deep throat skills and April's expert ability to ride on cock is not demonstrated in this movie. Still, I was more than happy to see the girls kissing, licking, petting and bang each other without any guys involved. Their paint-splattered bodies were somewhat distracting, but they would look good even if raw sewage was poured all over them.

Lola returns in a steamy blowjob-only segment with Marty Romano, which may very well be the hottest moment in the movie. She goes down on him hard and deep, and he squirts a sizable load all over her eye and forehead. For this scene alone, I decided to add this DVD to my collection, but honesty compels me to state even Lola can't raise PERFECTION to an above-average rating.

If you happen to be a fan of Vivid flicks, then you know exactly what to expect out of this DVD.

The video quality is a bit grainy (especially during those scenes shot on film) but still very watchable. Along with the Photo Galleries and brief Behind The Scenes segments, the extras are basically a collection of vignettes and scenes excerpted from various Vivid titles, with complete cast and movie credits. Some of the scenes found here are actually hotter than what's found in the main movie. (Dasha's scene with Jason McCain from LIQUID SEX promoted me to consider picking up that DVD the next time I go on-line shopping.)

PERFECTION falls short of its descriptive title, but Dasha fans won't be able to resist it.
