Conquest, The (Sin City)

The Conquest is a contemporary look at the erotic adventures of Casanova. The protagonist, Julia Ann, is a curious woman who finds herself leafing through the pages of Casanova's scribed innermost details. As his memoirs unfold, Julia encounters, first-hand, the famed lover's sexual exploits. As she reads from his diary, the stories come to life tickling the senses with "up close and personal" visuals depicting these "conquests" Casanova so loved.

While reading aloud, Julia is greeted by a surprise visitor - Casanova himself. With nervous demeanor, assuming her guest would not approve, Julia doesn't know what to do. Yet, she quickly finds that Casanova (Rocco Siffredi) wants her to read on, as he indeed enjoys reflecting upon his own adventures.

The first tale depicts Casanova on a bed, having his feet orally massaged by a beautiful Asian lady. The toe sucking ends with a swift move into a dick sucking scenario. The sex, which is pretty much on a medium-high heat level, continues with a missionary bang. A bit drawn out in length, the scene eventually reaches closure with our hero hitting the boiling point while in doggy-style formation, thus creaming upon her lovely face.

An abrupt change of pace leads Julia Ann, adorned in S/M-type attire, into a bathroom where her lesbian lover awaits. The girls take turns tongue-lashing each other, yet in a limited variety of positions. Consequently, the action is rather slow and only of semi-erotic appeal. As for the S/M gear, nothing materializes. The outfit was just for costuming reasons, I assume.

Julia, back in the comforts of the living room, is invited to witness a "circus", of sorts, by Casanova. The show headliners are "The Human Pretzel" and her well-hung counterpart "The Great Salami". This couch-circus includes amazing tricks such as: missionary sex, blowjobs, a reverse-cowgirl rodeo and a doggy-bang finale with a big top facial. Okay... so that doesn't sound so "amazing". Well, it's not that amazing except for this factor: anyone who can handle Sean Michaels garden hose of a schlong is pretty admirable!

Julia seems to be enjoying Casanova's company, so she decides to partake in yet another sexual adventure. This time, Casanova arranges for "safari man" Aaron Colt to tame the beast - Julia body-painted like a tiger. Following a far too drawn out opening "hunter" and "hunted" sequence, we are blessed with the scene that makes this DVD worthwhile. Julia Ann, while looking quite the drab "80's girl" for most of the film, finally shows us just how hot she truly is! After giving Aaron a finely tuned blowjob, Julia jumps right into a 69 position for their mutual gratification. Then... it gets better. With one leg up on a rock and the other anchored to the ground, Julia takes it doggy-style with fervor. The excellent lighting and camera angle shows off the absolutely amazing body she has while being vaginally plundered from behind. Unfortunately, there was one drawback to the heat in this scene. As wonderfully shot as it was and as hot as Julia looked, not unlike the previous scenes - it was just too long.

The Conquest falls into a "middle ground" with me. Light and mild in nature, the couples appeal is certainly there. Julia Ann and Rocco are two marquee names which should spark some interest as well. However, the dialogue was poorly written and delivered and the scenes were entirely too lengthy. Put all that on a scale, and I think it will balance evenly. As for the DVD transfer factors, this was not originally produced with the DVD format in mind, so the "extras" are limited. It was, however, transferred with Dolby stereo and there are photos, chapters and trailers.
