Scent of Desire, The

Wicked Pictures and Marc Dorcel have delivered another stunningly beautiful film in Scent of Desire, with the naturally beautiful women one expects from Euro porn and some of the hottest sex I've seen on film. Part of what sets this movie apart from many others is that in all the scenes the actors and actresses do a wonderful job of appearing to actually care about each other and having sex with each other. Many films strive for this, but few achieve it as well as this film does.

While that plot exists, its minimal, and centers about a group of friends going to visit an old mansion in the French countryside that used to be a whorehouse, recently purchased by a friend who came into some money. There is a mystery person running around the mansion with what looks like a silver dildo that they use to convince beautiful women to have sex. The plot, such as it is, revolves around who this person is. Perhaps it makes more sense in the French version (more on that below) but in the English version, it didn't track very well, although that's nothing unusual for a porn flick. The lead character, played by Melanie Coste, is a sexually inexperienced woman on the trip. She's a very cute, girl-next-door type blonde with a stunning body.

In the first scene we see Melanie fantasizing about a romantic outdoor interlude with Phillippe. The sex is fairly tame, oral and missionary only, and no popshot at all, but very erotic in part because of the warm and caring portrayal.

The second scene has Lea De Mae and Titof in a wooded clearing. BJ and straight sex only, standing up ending with a popshot on the pussy, and again portrayed as very warm and caring between the partners, and again very erotic. Maybe it's the outdoor setting, but I think this is about the best I've seen Lea look in any film I've seen her.

In our third scene we have Sheherazade and Ian. They start off in the back seat of a car, and finish off on the hood, going through Oral, straight sex in several positions and anal with a popshot on the ass to end the scene. Again, they seemed to care about each other and there seems to be good chemistry between them. And again, it is a very erotic scene.

Scene four starts with Tiffany masturbating in a shower before Pascal joins her. Again we have oral, straight sex in a variety of positions, and ending with a popshot to the chest. The sex was quite energetic and in all this was still a warm caring scene and quite erotic.

Scene five is fairly short and features Monica Sweetheart, Mark and Phillippe in threesome on a bed. There is some oral, straight sex, anal and DP. Monica looks particularly good in this scene.

Scene six has Lea and Titof again, this time in the cellar. We have a BJ and straight sex, standing and reverse cowgirl, with a popshot on the pussy again. Another caring and erotic scene, not quite as good, I thought, as the first but still very hot.

Scene seven has Melanie fantasizing again, this time about Valentina Valli, Mia Panther and Tutus Steel. She's picturing them from the 1930's when the mansion was a whorehouse. Tutus does each of the ladies individually while the other watches and masturbates. We have some cowgirl and reverse cowgirl with Mia before moving onto the beautiful brunette, Valentina. There we have some nice foreplay, oral, spoon, missionary and a popshot on the pussy. This was another very erotic scene with warmth and caring between the partners, despite the supposed fantasy setting. Tutus and the Valentina really seemed to have some heat and chemistry between them.

The final scene starts with Melanie and Monica on the bed. Monica goes down on Melanie, then we have a wonderful 69 between the two. After that Phillippe joins in and we have oral and straight sex in a variety of position, ending with some doggy anal with Melanie. The scene finishes off with a popshot on Monica's pussy. I thought this scene was incredibly hot, again, in part, due to the performers seeming to actually be into it with and caring about each other.

The video quality was excellent, and presented in the letterbox aspect ratio, which I prefer. My TV is a 55-inch big screen television, and it shows the pixellation of poor transfers in a heartbeat, but I don't think I saw any at all in this flick. The sound was very good, although better if you watch it in French (5.1 Dolby Surround) than English. Both are dubbed, but I suspect the original actors and actresses were used in the French version of the dubbing and it shows. Besides the better quality of the Dolby in the French sound, the moans and dialog seem more natural. The English version is certainly acceptable, however. I've enjoyed many a Euro flick with much worse sound, so this one is pretty good, even in the (poorer) English version.

The extras are weak on this DVD. Actually, they're more like non-existant. There are a few trailers from other films from Marc Dorcel, and that was it. No interviews, no behind the scenes, no cast listing (makes a reviewer's life much more difficult), no photo show. Despite that, I place this movie high on my "Buy Now" list. The movie itself more than makes up for the lack of extras on the DVD, at least in my opinion.

Overall, I highly recommend this DVD for its beautiful women, caring portrayal of sex, and high production values.
