Sex at Six

Vivid has so many hot bodies under contract (or just that show up to work with them), that I expect every feature to be perfect. Sex at Six is not perfect, can be downright irritating, and I still call it essential for your DVD library.

Sex at Six stars Sky (I can identify her), and cohorts in a road porno turned down right bizarre thanks to some digital editing effects. I can pick out Sky because of the box cover, but Vivid almost seems to go out of their way to make identification of some of the other starlets impossible. The "Meet the Girls" section of the special features is a lame set of bios on their contract girls, not the ones in the feature. And I like the ones in the feature better, thank you. Renee LaRue, Lola, Voodoo, Shelbee Myne, and Maya Divine are all here somewhere, I think. That's what the box cover claims, at least.

So we have three vacationing friends, two of whom are lovers, driving in the typical porn van through the desert east of Los Angeles. Sky gives some road head while the redhead in the back seat (I don't know her name, sorry), gets a bit annoyed, jumping out of the van when the guy pulls over. A nice touch in this scene is seeing the van on the road during the initial cocksucking.

They retrieve the redhead when they're through, but now the van won't start. So they walk down the highway when the magic digital editor shows up, transforming the landscape at the horizon from desert to mountain to forest. They wander into a quaint town, the clock on the outskirts quite clearly showing it to be five minutes to six (and considering the movie title, something's going to happen). There are people dressed in mid-nineteenth century frontier garb wandering around a town that looks like a cross between the town from Bonanza and one from Back to the Future. The clock strikes six as they walk down the main street, and everyone immediately jumps for poon. There is quite a bit of serious action, with everyone doing everyone right there on the street. Great stuff, even if the premise doesn't make a lick of sense, as it were.

Then they're captured, I don't know why, and shown to someone who seems to be mayor/dominatrix. The three are separated, and the two ladies go off for another orgy with a bevy of beautiful women and a few guys for good measure. More great group action, some great multi-girl for every guy stuff with lesbian muffdiving and all the trimmings, but the guy is made to watch from across the street by the mayor lady (my term). She's gorgeous, a busty brunette with a great face. She seduces him into another great scene, and we cut from the group action to them a few times. When she's finished with him, she sends him to join his lover and friend. She mumbles a line about it being his fantasy, and all three hook up as everyone else fades out of the picture.

In the end, morning comes, six o'clock tolls, and only our original three friends sit there as everyone picks up their clothes and goes inside. The mayor comes up and is thanked by each for their "festival." She says she trusts they will be staying, but each refuses. This is the part where my brain starts to hurt. The mayor calls that unfortunate, and everyone that was having an orgy a few minutes ago returns to the street clothed and armed with blunt objects, cornering the three. Then, as they're about to be pummeled, they disappear from the town and appear somewhere, nude, in the middle of the desert. And that's the end of the feature.

The features are decent, but they don't tell us who is who. Vivid tries to make up for what seems like a hurried effort with quantity. The beautiful women make the experience a winner, but the poor directing and attempt at a plot make us all losers.
