Stardust #8 Didn't Work Much Magic With Me

By Spooky
I have to admit, I was not quite sure what to make of Stardust #8. But that may be because I hadn't seen any of the previous entries in the series, and much of the appeal, and maybe even a few jokes could have flew right over my head because I was ignorant of the history here. Yet, even in my goofiest moods, I doubt that I would find Stardust #8 all that appealing. It is an average porn, that is far too distracted with making the characters look and sound goofy instead of concentrating on making the sex hardcore and entertaining.

Lori Michaels is featured on the box cover, and she plays a character known as "The Erector", who has both the opening and closing sex scenes in the picture. After a long introduction (too long, in this viewer's opinion), that re-visits what has happened in previous chapters of Stardust and introduces us to the characters of Todd (Mike Hurt) and the alien Alexis (Dyanna Lauren), we are introduced to Lori's character, who wears huge pink Bride Of Frankenstein hair and a strap-on dildo, the latter of which (fortunately for the men in this movie) she removes for the sex scenes. Lori's opening scene is with Mike, and it doesn't quite live up to the build-up, probably because the build-up takes about 10 minutes of screen time.

The next scene takes place in a psychiatrists office, where Jenteal winds up in a lesbian tryst with Kobe Tai. Despite the appeal of Jenteal (who looks awfully cute in this scene), Kobe is the real reason to tune in, as she gives herself an anal reaming with a toy, in addition to the oral action going on between the two women.

In perhaps the goofiest scene in the movie (and that's saying a lot, trust me!), Kyle Stone does double duty as both a robot and a regular human being in a coupling with Brittany O'Connell. Fortunately for viewers, the coupling is only with the human version of Kyle, but the scene is only so-so, and only recommended to diehard Brittany O'Connell fans.

In the next to the last sex scene, Dyanna makes out with Jon Dough, who is perhaps the most normal of all the characters in the movie. The scene isn't bad, but Jon's facial of Dyanna is totally , as most of it drips harmlessly to the ground and doesn't make it to her waiting tongue and face.

Stardust #8 wraps up with a three-way between Lori, Steven St. Croix and Peter North. The movie then treats us to what we have to look forward to in the next chapter of Stardust, one which this reviewer is going to leave to the hands of someone else, since this series really isn't my cup of tea.

The bonuses on this disc include a whopping 29 previews, a nice selection of bonus scenes, and the typical "Meet The Girls" and website info to be found on almost all Vivid discs. Both the video and audio on this DVD are above average.

Since I haven't seen the other entries in the series, I can't say if Stardust #8 lives up to the previous entries, or is worse or better than them. What I can say is that strictly judging it from a sex standpoint, it is a very average movie. Obviously, a lot of thought and time went into the location and costume design for this title, but the results were both unfunny and uninteresting, at least from this viewer's perspective. Stardust #8 is only recommended for fans of the series and/or those who are particularly attached to the performances of Lori Michaels.
