Key Party

With Paul Thomas at the helm and Vivid Contract gals Briana Banks, Savanna Samson and Sunrise Adams all part of the cast, I had high hopes going into Key Party. But the movie turns out to be just an average one - with neither the story or sex living up to expectations.

The premise is a pretty good one, though - as all of the cast members come together for a 70's-themed swingers party during which everyone's car keys are thrown into a bowl and are drawn out one by one to see whom will be teaming up with whom. Before that happens though, we get to learn a little about each of the couples - most notably Steven St. Croix and Briana, where Steven is having performance problems; and Tyce Bune and Katie Morgan, where Tyce feels inadequate - so he allows his wife to have sex with younger men to keep her satisfied.

The really good sex scenes in Key Party don't come until the party actually commences - and before then we get an all-too-brief lesbian encounter between Briana Banks and Delilah Stone (which literally lasts only a minute or so, if that); and an okay coupling between Savanna and Joel Lawrence.

Once the party gets started, the first action we get to see is Katie Morgan getting it on with Evan Stone. But the two aren't together for long before Briana Banks arrives in the room and decides to join in on the action. Evan takes turns with the girls, and the scene concludes with him popping onto Briana's face.

Meanwhile, Jordan Haze has paired up with Nick Manning for a so-so segment that includes missionary, doggy and cowgirl. This one ends with Nick pumping his cock between Jordan's tits and cumming on her chest.

Although it's debatable, the best scene in Key Party just may be a coupling between Briana and Joel Lawrence. There's nothing really special about the scene (other than the fact that Briana gets anal in the missionary position), but the heat level between the performers seems to be a bit higher during this scene than the others in the movie.

Haley Paige and Roxy Jezel are two performers I find particularly attractive, so it was easy for me to enjoy the next scene - which is a threesome between them and Tyce Bune. There's anal for both women in this scene - as Tyce slips into Roxy's ass in the doggy position, then moves to Haley for some reverse cowgirl anal, then returns to Roxy for anal in the missionary position. And unlike the earlier threesome involving Briana and Katie, there's plenty of girl/girl action between the two women in this scene - which ends with Tyce squirting on both gal's faces.

After a very average pairing between Sunrise and Steven that takes place in an outdoor jacuzzi, Key Party wraps up with a nice threesome between Savanna, Nick Manning and Joel Lawrence, which includes a double penetration for Savanna shortly before the guys cum.

Key Party has been shot on film, and perhaps the biggest disappointment with this DVD is how poor the picture looks. It's really grainy, many scenes are dimly lit (particularly the Savanna/Nick/Joel finale), and during the scene when we first meet Tyce's and Katie's characters, the actors aren't even in focus for a few minutes!

On the other hand, the extras (as always with Vivid) are nicely done, although this time around (perhaps due to Key Party's 135 minute running time) we only get three bonus scenes instead of the usual five. There's also an 18-minute behind the scenes segment, four trailers and the standard multiple angle option for selected sex scenes within the film.

Because of the quality cast and a few good sexual segments, Key Party is worth a look as a rental. But for a Paul Thomas film that stars three of Vivid's Contract Girls, once can't help but come away a bit disappointed with this Party...much like most parties in real life, I suppose.
