Peaches

Just because Peaches is an older film (shot in 2000, but not on DVD until this year) and just because this DVD doesn't have a lot of bonus material (five scenes from other Vivid titles, but nothing else), doesn't mean you should resist picking this one up for a look...especially if you're a fan of former porn star Farrah.

Perhaps performers are just trying too hard these days, or perhaps directors are over-coaching their talent, but more often than not when I go back to watch an older film...even if it's one filmed just five years ago, I can't help but come away thinking the sexual action is much hotter to watch. Such is the case with Peaches. So while the low-budget and thinly scripted story prevent me from giving the film any higher than an average rating, the actual sex here is every bit as entertaining (and perhaps more so) as you'll see in any newer Vivid release featuring their current contract girls.

Directed by Toni English, Peaches tells the tale of a young man (Brick Majors) whose uncle has died and left him his fortune. There's one catch, though. In order to get the money, Brick has to agree to marry his uncle's former mistress - played by Farrah. Since Brick is a bit of a playboy, he wants nothing to do with marriage...and certainly nothing to do with Farrah, whom he despises. Farrah, in turn, wants nothing to do with Brick, since she is well aware of his less than loyal track record with the ladies. Of course, before all is said and done, the two wind up falling in love. I suppose only the sexual action keeps this film from becoming a Lifetime Movie of the Week!

There are some nice sex scenes in the movie, starting with an outdoor coupling between Brick and Lola (playing one of his many conquests) which ends with a very nice facial for Lola. Farrah has two sex scenes in the film, staring with a girl/girl pairing with Monique DeMoan and then teaming with Brick for the movie's final scene.

There's also a very nice coupling between the busty Angelica Sin and male actor Rich Handsome which takes place in a garage and on the back bumper of an SUV. The only other scene in the movie is a one-on-one between Chennin Blanc and Cheyne Collins which gets the dual honor (dishonor?) of both having little to do with the story and being the title's least appealing sexual teaming.

As noted above, the extras on this disc include only some bonus scenes from other Vivid movies - although fans will get to see some good ones, including a Dasha/Anthony Hardwood scene from The 8th Sin, and a Briana Banks/Mario Rossi scene from Ticket To Ride.

While Farrah fans will want to pick this one up for their collection, there's enough enjoyment in Peaches for the regular viewer of couples' porn to add this release to their rental list.
