Bad Girls 3

Quite an interesting film on our hands with Bad Girls 3, though I would argue that it's one of those where you have to be a fan of the talent to really want to pick it up rather than standing on its own merits of plot or production value. Make no mistake, it's very well shot, very well produced, etc. I just don't think anyone will be buying this one for the story.

On the other hand, I think plenty of people would buy a film for Riley Steele and Jesse Jane, so it definitely has that going for it. Those of you who are like me and don't much care for overdone makeup (as is the case on the front box cover) can rest assured that Jesse and Riley look like themselves in the film proper. They never quite work together here, as Jesse starts off with Madison Scott alongside Ben English, rather quickly here in a vigorous scene. The camera stays way too close in, though, and I feel like I can't even tell where everyone is. It's kind of a disappointment, as it looks like some nice things are going on, but we're just far too close. Jesse gets used as an oral fuck toy for a bit, all the while with Madison licking away at her. We do briefly get an establisher shot, but we zoom right in during it. I don't understand what Robby D. is going for with this technique. I mean, I feel like I don't really get to look at the (very stunning looking) talent this way. The ladies eventually share a facial, something that was well captured (and Ben sure had a lot stored up).

The lovely and talented Jenna Haze stars in the second scene, one that goes for the same production technique, though this one has even less lighting. There are so many close-ups on the face that it's a bit hard to get a grip on what is happening. It's worse when Jenna is bent over the bar, as you can't even see the penetration, yet that's what we're focused on. Just a very unsatisfying experience, this scene, with even some of the mouth shot Jenna coaxes out of him lost because the camera bounces up too far.

Jenaveve Jolie gets the next scene, a far better filmed sequence on a bed. Ben English is back as the stunt cock. There's still some issue with the camera wandering around almost aimlessly, and the zoom button again seems to get occasionally stuck, but this is quite an energetic scene, even if we don't get to see all of it. And while it's fun to watch Jenaveve's reactions for a bit, the three full minutes we spend on her face is a bit much. No establisher shots outside of the beginning either. Again, it's a better scene, but this new approach from Robby is, frankly, appalling. And somehow, some way, with all of that cum, Ben still managed to mostly miss Jenaveve.

Jesse Jane takes on Evan Stone in the next scene, zoomed in the same way but again with good lighting. It's somewhat better, but again, it's very hard to tell what's going on because we're zoomed in so far. If I didn't know better, I'd ask if this whole thing was a joke, like Beckett producing a porn play. Or maybe it's more like the theatre production Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, where all of the action is taking place just off screen. Whatever the case Jesse takes a decent mouth shot in the end.

Riley finally shows for the last scene, taking a (zoomed in, of course) body shot in the end. This one suffers a bit on lighting again, and it just doesn't come together as a useful scene, even if most of the cowgirl action was actually in the right perspective.

Some surprisingly horrid production decisions really do mar Bad Girls 3, keeping us away from the action enough that I can't get into it. What's sad is that the cast here is strong enough for that to not need to be the case. I hope the fourth incarnation of this series learns the lessons of this particular production and is a more suitable product.
