Crushing On Kleio

Upon first glance at the boxcover of CRUSHING ON KLEIO, I had my doubts about the flick. Certainly Joanna Angel has long proven herself to be a talented director of smut and sin, but her creative style doesn't really fit my personal tastes. Further, when it comes to female talent, I generally favor those who have a minimum of body ink, and a maximum of Vivid Girl-like quality. All of my close-minded preferences convinced me that CRUSHING ON KLEIO wouldn't be my cup of tea.

Yet after witnessing over two hours of video intimacy with this new-found talent, I have to admit that CRUSHING ON KLEIO from Burning Angel Entertainment had me fairly hot and bothered right up to the end credits. A large part of that arousal was generated by the last two scenes, in which the very slender, sometimes-blonde, sometimes-redhead Kleio gets it on with Kristina Rose for a superb display of sapphic lust and then with Keni Styles, for an interracial scene which emphasizes anal and uninhibited raw passion.

That's not to say that the preceding vignettes (including a butt-banging scene with James Deen captured in POV style, a threesome with Mr. Pete and Alec Knight, and a strange encounter with Mick Blue who is dressed up as St. Nick while she is in elf-garb) are any less interesting, but the obvious chemistry among the last two performers sold me on this flick. Miss Rose kisses, gropes and eats up Kleio as if they were on their honeymoon together, and Mr. Styles bangs her in all three holes lying down and standing up. Their back-to-back scenes are filled with a sense of fun, natural fun, and good old fashioned sexual chemistry.

Other notable moments include the Director herself making out with her featured performer during a brief and fairly humorous segment where Christmas is addressed ("Don't they know that I'm Jewish?" Joanna exclaims while unwrapping gift). Soon, this exchange leads into Kleio getting groped and fingered by Miss Angel before she's introduced to Mr. Blue, who naturally gives her a spirited pounding.

While the videography itself is raw and sometimes a bit garish, the DVD picture is excellent. The disc also contains over thirty minutes of Behind The Scenes footage, which is pretty generous considering most features don't offer more than six to seven minutes of the same. Even though Burning Angel Entertainment has produced less than fifty DVDs (as of the date of this review), I've been impressed by their production standards so far.

It's always a bit risky, if not foolhardy, to let a single new talent carry an entire full-length video all by herself. Yet, Kleio is obviously up to the task and I found myself appreciating her work and unique beauty as the movie progressed. If it weren't for the talents of both Miss Angel and her "Crush," I wouldn't have give a video like this a second look - my prejudices would have overwhelmed my sense of objectivity. So for all you uptight, straight-laced porno conservatives out there (you know, the ones who only want to see girl-next-door types engaging in straight sex or paired with fellow lipstick lesbians), give CRUSHING ON KLEIO a chance and you find yourself falling for her charms, too.

Burning Angel Entertainment has certainly come a long way in their tenure in the adult business. Once just a dorm project at Rutgers, Joanna Angel has brought this studio a long way towards maturity and professionalism in recent years. That's not to say there isn't still work to be done, but even collections like Crushing on Kleio show a savvy of the adult business many established studios are forgetting.

The bits of film in the beginning do their best to tell her story, though they also show off just how other-worldly hot Kleio is. And we get a whole lot of her here. Hooray! The first scene features Kleio getting to know James Deen quite a bit. The interview is fun, as she is really cute and we get to know her a bit better. Quite a bit of ink, as you would expect from anyone Joanna Angel brings to the screen, but it's not in a way that is too over the top or distracting. Just hot. The POV blowjob she then gives is really quite nice, though with it being POV, it gets to be a little bit hard to see when she licks anywhere else. Have I mentioned that I absolutely love that she's wearing a wedding ring? One of my biggest turn-ons, that, married women working in porn. Makes it seem more normal, which it should be. As it is POV, we flip back and forth from her face to the penetration... there are just some limitations to this perspective, and they become a bit obvious. Reverse cowgirl and doggie are both very nice, though, and then we get some missionary anal. Hooray anal! Now we have an anal, married, first time star. That's just beyond great, really. She works him with her mouth and hands to a facial, too, showing that this is one serious pro on the rise.

And that's just the first scene of Kleio. We get plenty more! The second scene has a bit of a lame premise, with Kleio watching Burning Angel Jeopardy with a couple of guys. A touch painful. And for some reason I don't really like the dress Kleio is wearing. Of course, it won't be for long, but whatever. I was amused that when Kleio went to make popcorn they had to blur out the popcorn to avoid showing the brand. For some reason Kleio has to finger herself while making popcorn, but that makes sense in this universe, so it's okay. And I thought microwave popcorn was determined to be bad for you? Yep, it turns into a threeway, with Kleio getting it from both ends when she just started by sucking cock. Loads of positions and a whole lot of anal later, and Kleio's back to taking face shots. I think I'm falling in love with each scene!

Just a stunning video of Kleio next, now with pink hair, and looking flat-out adorable with a bit less makeup on. She masturbates for us on the staircase after we get to stare at her ass for a bit. She's really quite giggly, though also does seem to enjoy herself as well. A very authentic feeling scene.

The next scene has Kleio as an elf, and I'm amused that Joanna's claiming annoyance about Christmas presents because she's Jewish. Then Kleio comes in to bring her another gift... and Joanna manages to not mention her distaste for everyone assuming she celebrates the holiday. Instead, she unwraps Kleio the elf. After some play, she wraps her wrists to the banister, and then completely goes off about Christmas. Kleio can't quite keep up with the acting here, and I kind of want to make some references to Christmas not really being anything beyond secular these days, but I'll leave that debate for another day. Turns out Mick Blue did the same thing, dressed as Santa and also tied to the banister. You'll never guess who does what together. I'll leave the details for when you buy it, but I have to wonder if that really is Joanna's cat that is laying on the couch in this scene. Not an amused looking cat.

So Joanna's crushing on Kleio. After picking this disc up, it's pretty safe to say we all will be too.
