Breakin' 'Em In #17

I'm not really sure what's happened to Vince Vouyer as a studio, as I don't see nearly the volume of work come out of them lately, and I haven't kept up all that well with industry gossip over the last year or two (graduate school will do that to you). Regardless, Breakin' 'Em In 17 is certainly a high-quality film, so whatever happened to the quantity isn't nearly as big of a deal. What the hell was that with the website promo before we got to the menu? A big thumbs-down for the scene selection menu here. While I appreciate that they are giving us large images of each star so we can see if we want to watch them or not, the "Previous Honeys" and "More Babes" labels instead of previous and next is just too much. Honestly, try not to be so dumb.

Let's do this film in reverse order, as the women I really want to watch are towards the end, anyhow. I love the dress Zoey Nixon is wearing. I hope that it stays on even after the dippy visual effects that they're using for the tease. Or, really, I wish they'd drop the stupid effects and just let us look at her. She also seems to be twitching more than anything... I don't think she's got this part of the game figured out yet. That's okay: she's young, there's time, and she's hot. And hooray for the dress still being on when we get to the interview with the director part. It's nice to watch her bust out of it when the camera is normal. The guy who comes in seems like a bit of a doofus, using her body much the same way children use a playground. No attention span on him. Her top is off, and she's giving head, but the camera angle is just too low. The entire bottom quarter of the shot is just blue jeans, when going up a bit more means we can check out her tits instead. Eventually the director gets the message on that, but it's yet another member of the brotherhood of too-low camera shots here. Aside from the dippy male talent, this is really quite a good scene. He almost waits too long for the facial, as it kind of goes everywhere, but Zoey winds up getting nicely glazed. Annoying is that, instead of just letting her play with his dick and interact with the camera in the end, dippy tries to take control of the ending. Doofus. You can tell they shot it twice, because of that, I think.

If you haven't watched a film with Riley Reid, well, I don't know what's wrong with you. Here is a future superstar, already making a big splash. Think of how much a Jenna Haze or Tori Black enjoys their work, and that's what we have with Riley. She's clearly into her scenes, and she has a presence and cuteness matched by very few. I don't understand these opening sequences with all of the effects, that then lead into an interview portion before the scene starts. I mean, the tease bits aren't that hot, and you usually don't double-up the intros like that, do you? Odd. Still, some nice looks at Riley's ass, and you know every time a scene feature her ass the price for her first anal scene goes up just a bit more. Then we have my least favourite thing in all of porn: the camera operator/director reaching around the camera to grab body parts. Stop that. Don't ever do that. If you want to play with the talent, be talent. Otherwise, get out of the way, because every shot done that way flat out sucks. So there. All things considered, it's still a pretty good scene, though Riley's been around enough that the take-control attitude of this film really doesn't need to apply to her.

Then my computer decided it didn't want to watch this film anymore. A pity, as I think Andrea Acosta's scene was going to be a great deal of fun, being her first anal scene and all. Breakin' 'Em In 17 is a continuation of the bad boys of porn movement from about a decade ago, where it was okay to behave badly because it was in opposition to the major porn studios. Here, it just feels stale, and it gets in the way of these women actually getting to perform. By no means is this a bad film, but it could be so much more.
