Younger The Berry The Sweeter The Juice, The

The clumsily titled THE YOUNGER THE BERRY THE SWEETER THE JUICE is a DVD which, at first glance, seems like another imitator of Hustler's unbelievably popular BARELY LEGAL discs. And as it turns out, it is! From the opening title song to the montage of young looking women dressed up in Britney Spears outfits, it's pretty darn clear where director Tyce Bune is going with this video. I'm not saying that it is a direct rip-off of BARELY LEGAL, nor am I implying that Volcanic Entertainment has no right to capitalize on the genre, but the overall intended results here are kind of unimaginative due to poor set-ups and hackneyed stabs at "plot." If you have a craving for girls who are not yet ripe for community college, then I suppose the look and behavior of these young chickadees should fulfill your needs. But it's not enough to show the actresses in young women's clothes and acting like bubbleheads; there should be some kind of build up and tension to the encounters, but the director here is in too big a rush to dive into the sex without really developing the situational aspects of the individual segments.

Two waifish blondes, Rachelle Devore and Summer Breeze, dressed up in cheerleaders' outfits clearly announce that they are eighteen (though they act and talk like they haven't passed the fifth grade) upon arriving at Tyce's house. They offer a slow-motion (and not very erotic) dance for Tyce Bune before stripping down, and kissing each other in a convincingly awkward manner. Lesbian loving ensues, and then the guy joins in for a threesome. The sex is multi-positioned and varied, but really nothing all that special. Yet he does manage to deliver three popshots at broken times during the scene. The girls are natural and very fair skinned, although the various tattoos suggest that they have been around the block a few times. Perhaps if I found the girls more attractive, I would have given this scene more credit; as it stands, I enjoyed watching it once but feel no compelling reason to watch it again.

The very cute covergirl Charmaine does bring some eye candy to this drab video. We get gratuitous shots of her riding a scooter around a neighborhood while dressed in a short skirt and knee high socks. The attempt at showing her so "youthful" isn't very convincing since its clear that Charmaine still looks old enough to have had a couple of driver's license renewals. She is picked up by some stranger who follows her around, and then plays a game of strip foosball before having sex in a garage with Tony Tedeschi look-alike Erik Everhard. The scene is the usual sexual fare, and ends in a cum facial. Again, this is good sex, but does not approach anything resembling greatness.

Tiffany Sight, looking cute in a pleated white skirt and white shirt, goes for a brief motorcycle ride and then has sex with Vince Voyeur on a kitchen island. Molly's tanned and curvy body is well on display, and she looks even sexier with a hard-on in her mouth. But yet again, there is nothing here that you haven't seen a hundred times over in other videos. Even worse, the next segment featuring the pale and dull-eyed Kitty Marie was barely watchable. Even though she does anal, her sexual responses in this scene border on the comatose, and it does not help that she doesn't bother to show any real charm or attraction.

Petite dirty blonde Molly Rome is teamed up with Erik and Mario for the movie's final vignette, and I'm afraid that it also generates very little in the way of heat or eroticism. She does the requisite fuck and suck scenes competently, but betrays no reaction on her face. Throughout her scene, she seems to prefer to do everything with her eyes tightly closed and with a minimum of perfunctory emotion, even when she is getting DP-ed. Having the last two scenes fizzle out on this disc was like watching the last half hour of a bad SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE episode, where the actors just don't seem to care. This release from Volcanic Entertainment is one of their first DVDs, and already they are off to an auspicious start. The video and audio quality is generally good, but the DVD presentation is lackluster, beginning with a set of sloppily produced phone sex ads which hit you as soon as you load the disc. The Photo Gallery would not work properly on my computer's DVD-ROM drive, and navigating through the "at least 100 shots" on my stand-alone player became such a chore that I gave up after a few minutes. Apparently, the menu "select" buttons are what's used to skip from picture to picture, which is not as responsive or as convenient as using the standard speed search or chapter skip functions. Other than the still pictures and chapters' menu, nothing else is offered in the way of extras. Clearly, TYTBTSTJ isn't the best value in porn on the market.

Pick up this disc if, and only if, you are completely burned out on all your current volumes of the BARELY LEGAL series. Even then, I might want to give those DVDs a repeated spin before resorting to THE YOUNGER THE BERRY, THE SWEETER THE JUICE.
