Hard to Watch. Literally.
Luna C. Kitsuen falls into that Jodi Taylor category for me: just ridiculously, amazingly cute, but I'm still waiting for that excellent film with her. For Jodi, that means having a good scene, with anal, maybe a bit of rimming (which means a Mike Adriano production), but one where she's not wearing so much makeup that she's unrecognizable. For Luna, that just means a straight BG anal scene where something bizarre doesn't happen with the cum in the end. Granted, I'll take what we're getting in All In, but gangbang films aren't too much my thing, and I will admit to being a bit weirded out by the dudes on the cover. They kind of all look like they're holding their breath. Gangbang films in general have the tendency to become a long game of Find the Lady. Even though this is directed by Eddie Powell (sorry Eddie: I still don't like your style; I'm sure you're a perfectly nice person, though), I found this to be generally watchable. But I'm still waiting for that one really good film from Luna. That said, the tease bit in the beginning is nice. She and Mia Rider (you knew there wouldn't only be one star in this film, but two is as many as you're going to get in a gangbang flick) do a reasonably nice job, though Mia just doesn't have the presence here to really pull it off.
You must have an extremely strong personality to stand out in a film like this, getting buried in so much male, and the more compliant ladies just become, well, puppets. Also, during Mia's tease sequence you can see everything I don't like about Eddie's directing style. Trying to be arthouse with close-ups works if you establish your shots, but if I feel like I can't see anything, and you don't actually make the bra straps coming off the shoulder seductive, then there's no point. It's like they're trying to have the look of being sexy and seductive without the skill to actually do it. Then I read football scores for a bit. Not the American ones, because that wouldn't take long. The game that's actually played with feet. I got that bored with Mia's intro. It's not sexy, it's not interesting, it's just kind of dragging along. It's like if Rob Liefeld made porn with the same quality as he draws, it would look like this. Then some guy wanders in and gives the least subtle rimjob in history, completely contrasting with the tone the intro was trying to set and the camera work is still going for. It's embarrassingly bad. Then there's the usual parts where half of someone's body is out of the frame-because that's artistic, you see. I just wind up being frustrated. This isn't well shot or well performed. Maybe Luna can cheer me up. Though this intro is suggesting maybe not. We start off out of focus and do the extreme close-up of cotton panties. I don't have a white cotton panty fetish. At all. It creeps me out, in fact. Like a hyperbolic attempt to look . I should be enjoying this intro bit and I'm not. The camera work fucking sucks with random zooming and things out of focus for no obvious reason. There's no establisher shots, and the underwear is always in the way on every shot.
Dammit, Eddie! You're fucking another film up! I tried. Really, I did. I was able to watch some of the action, but Eddie randomly zooming in screws it up time and again. I just can't watch any films made by this man. I apologize. I should know better. It won't happen again. Because porn isn't something anyone should get frustrated over, and I'm well beyond frustrated at this point. Yes, I know how to work a camera. Yes, I have a degree in this. Yes, I know this is incompetence and laziness and calling it art. Let us see the bodies, see the action. That's kind of the point. We shouldn't be settling for this just because they have some clout at big studios. I'm looking at you as well, Robby D. This really needs to stop. We deserve better.
