Laverne & Shirley XXX: A Dreamzone Parody

I don't get it. I. Do. Not. Get. It. I can't really understand doing a parody that more than half of your audience is simply not going to get. I mean, I'm in my 30's, and Laverne & Shirley wasn't even really much in reruns anymore when I was growing up.
So who is supposed to be watching this? Give credit where credit's due, Dreamzone Entertainment does a fantastic job with their parodies. They've taken the genre much further than anyone else has, and they've gotten the production style of just about each
one down perfectly. That's not to say I'm ready to call Laverne & Shirley XXX a good porn film, but it's a good effort and all that. I just can't get past the premise, which is the point of the parody, of course, that I can't relate to. I mean, they even do
really well with the intro, they've got the colours right on the set, and Chanel Preston and Riley Reid seem to really get into their roles. Good to see Evan Stone once again proving his skill as a character actor, and Anthony Rosano (who I call DoucheBangs)
plays up his usually smug/goofy self. It's also really funny how, right in the middle of the opening credits, they switch from regular acting to just straight up fucking. Good humour in that. And we open with Chanel Preston's character masturbating on the
couch. Not that I'm really sure which one is which. Also, the sound echoes a bit more than it really should on the line delivery. Otherwise it's decent technically. I do wish they would have stumped for an actual laugh track, though, instead of what sounds
like the crew making a bit of noise. I unfortunately don't get a lot of the in jokes that are going on here, like which characters I'm supposed to laugh at and everything. Evan Stone is apparently the father of one of them. They did a nice job with the diner
décor on this one. Much more effort than most companies put into the fake school sets. Oh, I take that last part back. Riley and DoucheBangs are in a very stripped down room, cinder block and everything. I'm sure this room has doubled as a prison set at least
once. And we get a scene finally. DoucheBangs is generally pretty grabby, and in a creepy kind of way. There's some of that in this scene, but I just can't get past the wigs. I can handle those a little bit, much more than I can masks, but this still is weird.
Also, I'd like it if we didn't go straight to foot worship. Sorry. I hate that. Also, there doesn't seem to be any solution to how to handle sound during the sex scenes. I guess that becomes a problem when you're spoofing a sitcom, right? But could they have
written in something like they had the radio or television on or something? Because this is all breathing and smacking sounds, and it's echoing off of the cinder blocks. It's kind of ho-hum sex, too, which is sort of to be expected, since this has to have
mainstream appeal. There are a shit ton of chapter stops in this scene, by the way. And they capture the facial at the end at a rather poor angle initially. Seriously, why does this set echo so much? And can't they get them better microphones or something?
Then there's a threeway getting started. At least it's always really nice to check out Chanel's body. It's a non-DP BBG scene, so there's some coordinating they all have to do. Decent facial in the end, but again, the camera angle is shite. And that's really
how it goes. They did a nice job set-wise, and the actors all seem well into their characters (again, I don't really know). But there are some technical glitches here that I'd like to see done just a little bit better, and the action is, naturally, a bit on
the vanilla side. This will be good fun as nostalgia for some of you out there, but if you're looking for a straight up feature porn, you're probably going to need to look elsewhere.
