Top notch Cast brings this parody to life
The term Parody should be used very loosely here, as this is more of 4 individual scenes that maintain a constant theme throughout. There is very little time or effort taken in creating an actual story or characters, you could watch any of these scenes as stand alones and you wouldn't miss anything from the movie. Now, with that being said this movie does have a terrific cast and the action is enjoyable throughout.
In this story, Nick Prince (Ryan Driller) meets a beautiful mermaid named Aerola (Riley Reid) who saves him after he falls off a cliff and lands in the the ocean. He then falls in love with her (after Riley showcases her amazing oral skills, who wouldn't right?) so he decides to call off his upcoming marriage with his fiancee (Courtney Taylor)....that's essentially the story here, there are scenes that feature Cursula (Summer Brielle) and King Two Ton (Evan Stone) but these characters add virtually nothing to the paper thin plot.
Now what the story lacks, the cast makes up for. Reid, Brielle, Chase, and Taylor are all top notch performers who turn in very solid performances. Also, the video quality, camera work, and sound are all really good here also.
Overall, I was hoping for more of a consistent story throughout, Reid is only shown in the first and last scenes, and there is very little dialogue in between. But the other positive factors make this a pretty enjoyable film.
