Whore Of Wall Street, The

Before I get to the admirable bits, please allow me to be slightly pedantic. Wouldn't any film from any studio be "exclusive"? I mean, it's not like someone else is going to come out with the exact same plot and call it their own. Right? C'mon, Brazzers...

The Whore of Wall Street doesn't appeal to me as a title. That's because whore is usually used as a pejorative term, and the context here seems to reinforce that to the point where the term is a slur. Not cool. Add to that the fact that Dani Daniels has always struck me poorly-that smirk seems to be not something unique to this film, and I thought she got way more hype coming into the industry than she deserved, sort of like Bonnie Rotten's arrival-and I just wasn't up for it. One thing does encourage me, though-Brazzers has this tendency where they try to be funny and it just comes across as painful. They do these snippets with terrible lines, plot devices they stick to like Velcro, and the occasional irritating or gang stereotype. I'm excited that they're giving themselves more space to work here, not just part of a film. The long and the short of it is that they do a reasonably good job here, though some of their immaturity still comes through, primarily in the parts where they try to write male roles. Everyone is a stereotype, you see. But watching Monique Alexander take it up the ass or Dani Daniels suck a cock is rather nice. I could do without some of the award bragging in the opening credits, but I guess I can't have everything. It's also a little bit too money-centric for me.

Even though it doesn't take itself too terribly seriously, it's still annoying to have the get-rich-or-die-trying mentality. Full points for the creativity in the opening of trying to put some filters on the screen to make some footage seem faux-retro. The fact that it didn't always line up the way it was supposed to felt more like an error than a style choice, though. Capri Cavanni looks good in this one, too. After we do the intro, it feels like we do the intro again. I'm actually checking my disc player at the moment to make sure it's not set to repeat or something. Then Dani is the overly conservative one while the guy she's with for a meal busts out a porn magazine. Because that's normal behaviour. See, this is the problem Brazzers keeps running into: everyone is a stereotype, a kind of meta-version of reality commentary. Also, the set for this meal feels more than a little bit like they took someone's condo and put a bistro table near the window. Or maybe that was the point. I can't tell. All I know is that the carpeting is thick enough to hide bodies. When things do get slightly sexy, the camera angles get irritating in that very common way: the camera is down on the floor angled up, destroying any sense of perspective and making my head hurt. The stockings are a nice touch. Then dude just whips his junk out through his pants-I think that might make him European. Oh, and a waiter came by, so I'm guessing this is a restaurant. Based on what's happening here, I don't think the health department is going to be terribly thrilled with them. Dude's character gives me the creeps. Then the sex gets going. Nice legs and ass on Dani, really getting shown off while she's giving head. But too much of the filming here is from underneath. Then they make a mess of things, that table is very cheap under the tablecloth, and it all feels just this side of assault. It's better than the sex is most feature films, especially from the big traditional studios. There's passion to it. But there's also that bit of dudebro-stuff that the originally internet-based studios like Brazzers seem to promote. It's give and take, and that shows itself throughout the film. It's not bad for a feature, doesn't take itself too seriously, and is moderately well filmed. I can't say I'm holding my breath for the rest of it like I am with some other series, but I just don't think this one was meant for me anyhow.

My first real glimpse of the beautiful Dani Daniels was in this movie. I've been a fan ever since. Absolutely one of the top 10 most gorgeous women in porn.
