Brazzers Fan's Choice Special Edition (Blu-ray + DVD Combo)

Compilations usually aren't my thing, you know? I think it's because what I want to see compiled is never what gets compiled. Or they trim the scenes down to fit all on one disc in such a way where they miss the details, the best parts. Like they have no patience. Not to worry with Brazzers Fan's Choice 200th DVD. There was a fan vote (allegedly) and they selected seven scenes with eight of the hotter women out there and put them together for us in this collection. And since they include Jayden Jaymes, Christy Mack, Phoenix Marie, and Rachel Starr (the last two together) in this collection, I'll try to overlook the fact that they're still over-thinking their premises and over-producing their tease sequences.

Let's start with Jayden, shall we? And let's ignore the premise. Honestly, it's not like you're going to win a National Book Award with your nonsense, so can we just simplify these a bit? They aren't funny, they aren't gripping, and they add nothing to the sex, so strip them down a bit, maybe make them less dudebro, and let's get on with it! Otherwise this is Jayden being Jayden, and it's reasonably well shot, though there is an unhealthy dose of LCAS (low camera angle syndrome) going on in this scene. Get that camera up and stop making everything either from the floor or a crotch shot. These should be basics and more and more directors are fucking them up. Honestly.

This Christy Mack scene is officially listed on the must-own sheet. According to me. If you haven't watched Ms. Mack before, one, what the fuck is wrong with you?; and two, watch this scene and you'll be a believer. A great anal sequence, though not the best hairstyle for Christy (I don't like that swept-back look; I don't mind the shaved sides). Well worth the admission price. Can you remember way back when Kagney Linn Karter didn't do anal? I know, right? With a body like this, such holding out on us should be illegal. The blonde bombshell-and that's saying something coming from the brunette and redhead fan that is me-pleases the eyes and the crotch with her performance here. Great anal, and I love how she's dressed, too. It's the complete package.

Jessica Jaymes completes the Jaymes lineup for us here with a nice performance. I like watching her, but more LCAS here. Not a bad scene, damn good in fact, but it could have been so much more. Incredibly sexy outfit on Jessica here. Rachel and Phoenix are nice to watch together, though this is one of those GGB scenes where no one quite seems to know what to do. You know how some look like everyone just wants to fuck each other so they do, regardless of the camera? That's not how this one felt. Seemed like the director was controlling the action a little bit too directly. I could be wrong on that, but it just didn't feel right. That's saying something with a couple of sexual animals like this, too.

I've skipped Asa Akira and Lisa Ann, and as much as this will get me killed, I'm not really a fan of either of them. I find Asa's scenes to be passive, where stuff is just done to her, and Lisa Ann has always seemed much too full of herself for my tastes. Sorry. Two discs... that's huge, right? Well, no, not really: they've just adopted the policy a lot of other studios use of including Blu-Ray and DVD in the same package. I don't have a Blu-Ray player, and I have no intention of getting one, so this is just plastic decoration for me. So, yeah, if you don't already own all of these scenes from other discs, it's definitely worth it. If you like being able to see small details on the skin of the performers, maybe the Blu-Ray versions are for you. It's a good value, and while I still insist Brazzers has a bit of growing up to do, there's a hell of a lot they do right, and their 200th DVD is a celebration of those things. Let's raise a glass to them.
