Sex Spell

This is exactly what I would expect from a high-end Ultimate Pictures production. Nicely shot with some creative camera angles, this weird, trippy fantasy has a very loose storyline that leaves plenty of room for some good sex scenes.

Narrated by Bolivia Samsonite, the stories are told in an anthology style and revolve around a woman (Bolivia) that wants to punish her husband (Mark Davis), or maybe it's about a curio shop? Or it could be about a phallic idol? Actually, it's about all three and my guess is that you might have to watch it more than once to figure out how the director, Nicholas Steele wrapped it all together.

It's hard to pick out which of the five scenes are the best; I liked them all but I especially like the first one. A soldier played by the extremely handsome Joey Ray is commissioned to a strange place. There, he stumbles on a phallic idol and some sort of Voodoo doctor. This leads to a dream like sequence where he meets the hot and sexy Lola and a beautiful new nymph, Nikki Fairchild. The lucky soldier receives a terrific blowjob by a tribal clad Lola before cumming on Nikki's perfect tits. I really liked the way he held Lola up on his shoulders while he ate her out...that was fucking hot!

As the lead, Bolivia has sex twice in this movie. Her first scene is with her jealous husband (Davis) who is just as handsome bald as he is with a full head of dark brown hair. This scene has some heat to it but it would have been better if the director would have allowed it to be more intense than playing it safe for cable. Bolivia performs better with Mark Davis than she does with the super skinny and busty Briana Banks who she has her girl/girl scene with. I don't think Bolivia is as into women as she is into men and I think it shows. Briana in turn fares better in her boy/girl scene with sexy stud Dale Dabone then in her scene with Bolivia. Briana and Dale look good together; their soft and sensual scene is accentuated by Briana's milk bath. It's amazing to watch the sweet cream run down her beautiful body and those super huge tits of hers. She also does an anal and takes a great cum shot right on the face. This girl acts like she enjoyed the facial and there's a lot to be said for that.

The other super hot scene takes place between chocolate god Lexington Steele, the proprietor of the curio shop and a gorgeous Alexandra Nice. She takes Lexington up her tiny butt hole like a real trooper but she makes him work for it. Lexington pounds Alexandra's ass pretty hard with his gigantic cock, but it looks like she could take it even harder as she honestly cums two times in a row. After a bunch of strange happenings, Mark Davis is transported into the life of the soldier in the first scene. Somehow this sex scene is the punishment bestowed upon him by his wife, but I don't know why...only in porn, I guess.

The DVD is really good as well. It offers good selections with a nice menu. There is a nice trailer and a good slide show. I really liked the "hotshot" button so I could see "the money shot".

With an exceptionally attractive cast and a good stab at higher production values, this DVD is sure to bring you pleasure.

Adam & Eve is perhaps the leading adult company when it comes to marketing product for couples, and Sex Spell tries to tell a story that will be appealing to both men and women. For the men, there's some very attractive looking girls in some very hot looking outfits...and for the women, there's a story about a girl being oppressed by her husband and looking for sexual freedom. Unfortunately, director Nicholas Steele forgot the two most basic elements to his tale: story and sex...and Sex Spell turns out to be an incredible bore of an adult picture.

Don't get me wrong. The film looks good...damn good, with lavish sets, costumes and what must have been a nice big budget for an adult movie. It's also well-shot by the director...but when it comes right down to it, there's nothing here to keep the viewer's interest.

The story (what little there is) revolves around a strange statue that a man named Jeffery (played by Joey Ray in flashbacks, but played by Mark Davis in the movie's present) discovers as a soldier during the colonial occupation of Africa in the 1800's. The statue apparently brings wild sexual action and hot babes to whomever possesses it...yet it is seen as an evil object throughout the film. Hey, if none of you guys want it...I know what I'll ask for this Christmas!

The statue somehow winds up in the possession of Lexington Steele, who runs a gift shop entitled "The Gift" (how quaint!). Lexington winds up selling it back to Mark's wife, who in turn gives the statue to him as a birthday present. That's it...that's the whole tale, condensed to save you time...and hopefully, a few of your hard earned dollars.

As for the sex, most of it is very couples-oriented in tone, but there are a few notable scenes...at least, more notable than the storyline. Briana Banks, whose hot body appears on the box cover for this title...and is sure to lure many a buyer just from that striking pose alone...has both a straight and lesbian scene in the picture. The straight scene takes place in a barn with Dale DaBone, and begins by Dale pouring milk all over Briana's body. The last time I tried this at home, I got a "what the hell do you think you're doing?", followed quickly by "you better clean this up and get to the store and pick up some more milk!" I guess people could be more wasteful in the 1800's. For the record, Briana gets the nicest facial of the movie here, taking Dale's big load all over her face. Briana's lesbian sequence is with Bolivia Samsonite, who plays Mark's wife in this title. For those of you who have never seen Bolivia before, she's quite a cute young girl...especially for someone named after luggage that doesn't break even if a gorilla jumps up and down on it!

Sex Spell is part of Adam & Eve's "Premium Collection", but even the bonuses on this DVD are only average, at best. There's a photo gallery, the movie's trailer (but no trailers for other titles), chapter selection and an additional fetish menu where you can jump to your favorite sexual action...or better yet...jump right to the end of the movie and save 96 minutes of your life. There's also some cast info, notable because the makers of the DVD have Nikki Fairchild and Lola misidentified on the page they appear.

It's obvious from looking at the finished product that a lot of time and effort went into the making of Sex Spell. But even in the porn industry, "if it's not on the page, it's not on the stage"...and as a result, Sex Spell is less than mesmerizing.

The Lita Chase scene was the stand out the others are okay but not great and its also from that era with the crappy music in the scenes.

This film had the potential to be extremely hot but fell short. The costumes were hot, the people were super hot, the sex was good, just not anything out of the ordinary. Some of what could have been the hottest scenes to watch were obscured by bad lighting -- you couldn't see the action during the 69 scene, etc. The story was a bit lame, but hey, it's a porno film.

All in all better than many I've seen, with something for both women and men, but it lacked a great sense of adventure.
