Nineteen Video Magazine 38

Okay...those of you who have been faithfully reading my reviews over the past few months know that there was no way 'ol Spooky was going to pass up a DVD with Kristina Black in it...even if her name is spelled wrong on the box cover, there's no denying that drop dead gorgeous body and those beautiful eyes. So it was off to my DVD player to take a look at Nineteen College Girls Vol. 38.

Kristina gets the opening scene, and she plays "Anna", the wife of Herschel Savage, who just happens to be very, very rich. One of Herschel's friends, played by Jay Ashley, comes to visit for the weekend, and of course, he caves in to Kristina's seductive lure. Ms. Black looks awfully hot in this scene, wearing the same sexy black lingerie that she is wearing on the DVD's box cover. But somehow, this just didn't live up to other scenes I have seen Kristina in, this one just being ho-hum and run of the mill.

Johnny Thrust plays a porn producer looking to save his company in the second vignette, in which he has lost his line of credit at the bank and must come up with a "great" scene in order to guarantee sales on his next adult title. What he comes up with is the old Santa Claus scenario...drawing inspiration from a picture his child has drawn for him and he has hanging in his office (how touching!). The girl who gets to sit on Santa's lap is blonde-haired Kitty, but the original Santa can't hack the assignment, so Johnny steps in to take Santa's place...ho, ho, ho!

Next up is the least entertaining scene in the movie, one where a girl named Mandy fantasizes about being taken advantage of by the ice cream man. As in real life, the ice cream man is pretty scary looking, and played here by Chris Charming. There is a bit of anal action at the tail end (no pun intended!) of the scene, but it's not enough to elevate the action to anything more than average.

Finally, Herschel Savage returns for a comedic bit, playing a salesman trying to sell freshly-worn panties to viewers watching at home. Sharon plays the girl in this scene, and it's also one that is pretty average in appeal.

The video is above average on this title, but the bonus features are lacking...offering only a photo gallery in addition to some web site info and the typical chapter selection.

Even Kristina's biggest fans (of which I count myself as one) aren't going to be too impressed with this title. It's not bad porn, but it is simply no better than hundreds of other titles that are available out there. There was a sticker on the box that said this received AVN's highest rating, but I don't know if that was for the series (of which there have been other quality DVDs) or for this particular edition. If it was the latter, I wonder what they saw in this disc that I did not.
