Another sci-fi dystopian classic
No Mercy For Mankind can be added to the list of fun, sexy, dystopian sci-fi thrillers in porn. It's odd that this specific genre has created some all-time classics. Euphoria, 2040, and the 8th Day. All original (not parodies), all interesting, all with great production values, and all have hot sex. We can add No Mercy to the list, not to the top of it, but it deserves to be on the list.
The premise is that men are slowly going extinct and are pretty rare. And the few left can't reproduce. Many of the remaining ones get killed by marauding gangs. Others get sold of as sex slaves. And if the rest of the world is inhabited with Tina Kays, Madison Ivys, and Monique Alexanders- I can think of worse fates.
The premise is great and the conflict point between some characters looking to save mankind and others actively trying to end it, is engaging. It pulls often (and not very subtly) from some great films. Mad Max, Children of Men to name a few- there's even a clear Inglorious Basterds inspired moment which sets up probably the best (and weirdest) sex scene in the movie.
All that said, the plot doesn't have as much depth as you might wish for, which keeps it close to or on par with the other dystopian classics I mentioned, but prevents it from surpassing them. The production design was mostly well done, especially the outdoor sets. Some of the indoor sets, however, were a bit bare.
The sex is hot, tho pretty conventional (outside of the Inglorious scene mentioned above). So if you're looking from some wild weird fetish stuff you might be disappointed.
The performances were all solid. I don't recall seeing a big feature with Madison Ivy as the lead, but she carried it nicely. The skin tight customers looked great on her and she pulled off the big tough gal with a secret soft spot act deftly. Even her body language was spot on. The way she eyes Danny D when she first gazes upon all of him- amazed but also just barely hiding it. Just perfect body language! She turned me into a fan.
Danny D is well cast as one of the last men on earth who's a gruff cop. His uhm, physical traits, make his specialness believable, even if he sounds a bit too much like Christian Bale's Dark Knight. Tina Kay has just scene but delivers a standout performance as well.
If you enjoy plot based and sci-fi themes you won't want to miss this one.
