Take My Wife, Please!

It's always fun when you pick up a classic adult film, throw it in the DVD player, and quickly realize that you've seen this one before in your college days. That's exactly what happened to me when I watched Take My Wife, Please!

The premise of the film is simple, yet fun. Three best friends decide to spice up their marriage by with one another's husbands. Unfortunately, one of the husbands (played by Tom Byron) doesn't seem so keen on the idea, even though he cheats almost every night on his wife (played by Britt Morgan).

In the first scene, we get to see what (well, actually who!) Tom does while he is away from home, as he makes out with cute redhead Angela Summers. I don't know what it is about watching early 90's porn (and some late 80's as well), but there's just something about it that tends to turn me on a bit more than the newer stuff. Perhaps it's because they always made the women keep their heels (and in this case, stockings as well) on during the sex, or perhaps it's because the performers seem more into the sex. Whatever it is, this opening sequence between Tom and Angela is fun to watch.

Even though Britt can't seem to convince her husband to join in on the fun, that doesn't stop her from trying, as she heads to Samantha Strong's house so she can seduce Sam's husband (played by Sean Michaels) when he gets home. Sean plays a doctor and Britt complains to him that her pussy is aching and needs examined! Damn, why don't they ever show this kind of stuff on E.R.? On a side note, those who enjoy a good blooper will want to listen carefully right before Samantha answers a phone call during this scene - you hear someone yell "ring ring!" and Sam picks up the phone - they never went back and added an actual ring into the soundtrack!

Next, it's Samantha's turn to fool around with a husband, and she chooses Peter North, who is playing the husband of Shawnee Cates. Fans of Peter's well-documented pop shots won't want to miss the end of this coupling, as he lands a pretty good one all over Samantha's face.

Meanwhile, Shawnee is off making out with Tom Chapman - who doesn't seem to be married to anyone in this film, but since Tom Byron isn't "playing ball" with the rest of the girls, I guess she needed to find someone to fool around with!

In the movie's final scene, Britt starts making out with Tom on their couch at home when they are interrupted by T.T. Boy, who has come over so he and Tom can go out. Britt talks Tom into letting T.T. join in, and a nice threesome ensues. The highlight here is watching Britt get double penetrated, and then take a pair of facials to end the film.

Take My Wife, Please! is one of Wicked's new "Vintage" DVDs, meaning that not a lot has gone into the bonus material on this title (in exchange, the discs run significantly less than the typical Wicked release). There's a chapter selection, a slide show, promo reels and five trailers for other Wicked movies, but nothing to get excited about. The A/V transfer is decent enough, and should be a nice replacement for your old VHS copy, should you own one.

While the movie itself is pretty standard porn, especially considering the kind of material that is released today, Take My Wife, Please! is an enjoyable enough classic and would make a nice edition to any porn collection.
