Indiana Mack II

What is it about the Private formula? Mix in equal parts stunning European women, perfect video quality, beautiful locations, tawdry sex scenes, hokey stories and impossible dubbing and end up with an erotic video that is always fun to watch in spite of or because of all its formulaic predictability. Let's not also forget the other hallmarks of Private video productions: good graphics, lengthy sex scenes with great attention paid to oral and anal sex followed by almost precision money shots into smiling mouths, all the while with the female stars' gaze firmly affixed on you, the viewer, through the camera.

In Indiana Mack II, the ambitious (but ultimately inconsequential) story follows our hero Nick Lang as Indy along with sidekick Dora Venter as Christine on a mission to recover the second half of an acclaimed medalion from Doctor X. Their benefactor is a wealthy Scot (why a Scot dubbed by an American filmed in Budapest by a Scandinavian film crew... you figure it out) who sends them on their way to Israel. Along the way, the two get to know each other in the carnal sense while riding "incognito" in a railroad box car. Venter is very appealing as an adult actress, carrying off a similar quality to Sylvia Saint. She's pretty in an almost fresh, innocent way but carries off a sex scene with terrific abandon and lust.

After Indy and Christine arrive in Israel, we are whisked away to the desert where a sinister Bedouin, Omar, has captured blonde Gabriella Dion to find the location of the archealogical dig site for the medallion. She is carried away for torture by a henchman while the desert-dwelling bad guy has his way with a couple of his wives, Alexa Sciffer and Demi Blue. Dion easily overtakes her captor with her physical charms in a nice, open air scene. The couple makes love amid desert mountains before she leaves him with a most unpleasant bite on the pecker and runs away. Omar is distracted from his threeway only long enough to bark out orders for her recapture before returning to the heated brunettes in front of him. A camel chase ensues.

Indy and Christine seek out the help from Indy's old friend Kareem the "King of Spies" for the location of Doctor X. This spy, fortunately, resides on a boat with two lovely blondes and, as luck would have it, an impromptu orgy breaks out among all the shipmates. Christine works on the captain behind the wheel while Indy gets acquainted with the two girls on deck. All five get together and entangle in a mesh of bodies and limbs, groping and gyrating to sticky conclusion.

Indy phones in to Burlington, the Scot, when Doctor X has been located, but this man's kilt is being removed by his new secretary for a test drive. Apparently, Burlington felt a little lonely after giving up Christine for Indy's use. With Doctor X found and the medallion in reach, the crew celebrate with, what else, another orgy. This time, Doctor X joins in along with "King of Spies" Kareem and the henchman "Dark Shadow."

Another sex scene actually occurs at the opening of the film in which we meet "Geisha" played by Laureen Kiss. She is the prize in an arm wrestling contest in the sort of seedy bar one would expect in a serial adventure film. Kiss is an attractive woman, but the scene is almost distracted by the over-the-top Geisha costume and extreme hair and makeup.

There's no shortage of bonus material including a comprehensive still gallery, cast bios for all the female stars, chapter indexing and previews for other Private titles. One of the best bonus features is the behind the scenes video. This production really does take itself to extremes rarely seen in American adult productions, and that's a shame for the American audience. Great efforts have clearly been made to create a quality product with an intriguing setting. The crew, equipment and cast who make this trek prove that making an adult film is at least as difficult a task as creating any mainstream film of a comparable budget. It's also nice to get a sense of the women of this cast outside their oversexed screen counterparts. Dora Vetner (in this video referred to throughout as Melinda) comes across every bit the charming, fun and sexy woman she seems to be onscreen. Everyone involved, actually, seem to be having a very good time with the project and with each other.

Laughable dubbing, generic royalty-free music and questionable plot aside, Indiana Mack II proves once again that the Private formula is alive and well and works to great extent in providing a fun, sexy little romp that beats a lot of what is currently on the American market. If nothing else, this video never takes itself too seriously, and that is a great lesson in adult entertainment.
