The couple scene, I'll choose scene 3. This is chapter 4 on the disc, and was set in a hotel room. You see Natacha Storm, a pretty brunette with long hair, wearing a hot pink halter top and shorts. The behind the scenes segment is called "the report." It's about 6 minutes long and is actually interesting to watch. This DVD was actually shot on location in Africa, and some of the trekking is shown, along with the wildlife they spotted on the way. This part was actually edited and put together with more care than some features I could name.

The cast section was better done than some, though it includes no video. Each girl is shown in two stills, and some personal details are given and other work is listed. An unexpected bonus was an extra series of still shots at the end of the feature (at 2:01:00 in title 1) which made it easy to tell which actor was which, even among the men, who usually get short shrift in the cast bios.

The photobook must be operated manually. There are about 43 shots. About half are sex candids, with other snapshots (including scenery) near the end.

The production notes are five pages of decent liner note material. Like most, they raise a few questions they don't answer (the notes say the cast is eight girls and three boys but lists only ten names), but the quality of this effort, and of all the extras, is very high.

Audio is a strange mixed bag on this disc. They didn't region-code the DVD, so you can play it anywhere. They included soundtracks in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian. But most of the stuff is in the original untranslated English. There are no alternate languages for the extras, either. But that's not so strange. The weird part is, I thought there was no sound at all at first. Why?

In the early dawn of DVD, the standards people decided that every DVD needed to have one of two audio formats on the disc. A DVD could have MORE than one, but at least one soundtrack on every disc was supposed to be PCM or Dolby Digital. One of my DVD players, an early Sony, does not handle MPEG sound -- it counts on finding either PCM or Dolby Digital. My later-model Sony handles MPEG and plays the audio fine, as does my Pioneer and both my computer DVD drives. If your DVD doesn't handle MPEG, consider this one a silent movie! This is a terrible decision, one I'm sure Private will remedy on future titles. But for now, it makes the audio worthless on at least some early DVD players.

For those who can hear it, though, the audio is pretty good. It's carefully mixed and leveled and recorded. The music is better than most porn music, but the actresses tend to moan a bit much and a bit loudly. Not unique to this disc, to be sure!

The video is done well. The camera work is careful but unobtrusive. If you were a voyeur watching these babes and studs go at it in person, it couldn't be much better. Exposure, focus, all good. More important, they always seem to show the right thing. All around excellent, but the slightly artifacted slow-mo keeps it out of the perfect category.

This disc is, overall, extremely good. If your player can play its soundtrack, consider this a top-drawer effort. It's a real five-star choice for fans of natural, pretty girls with smaller breasts that point to the sky. Only its audio problems keep this to four stars in a general recommendation, because I just know poor Adult DVD Empire will end up getting a few back with "defective soundtracks." If you're a lucky dog with a DVD player that can handle MPEG audio, don't pass this one by.

Pierre Woodman and company return to the African bush (no pun intended) for part two of this exotic sexual odyssey through the Dark Continent. Oddly, there are no black performers, male or female, in this program. But the sex assayed by the all-Euro cast never disappoints, and Woodman's videography is first-rate.

The disc is filled to the brim with extras material, including a behind-the-scenes segment, bios and photos of the video's top girls, and trailers for other Private DVD releases; not to mention the multiple language and subtitle capacity.
