For those of you unfamiliar with actor/cameraman/produer/writer/director/musician/all-around-talent John Leslie...shame on you! Not only was he responsible for some of the all time great cocksman performances in the Golden Age of porn, but he's also become one of the best talents behind the cameras in its newer phases, helming outstanding features like "The Tease" and "Chameleons: Not the Sequel." His sex scenes are always shot with top-notch angles and lighting, and they always carry an undercurrent of real lust, and occasionally depravity and darkness as well.

When he teamed up with the Evil Empire crowd (John Stagliano, Rocco Siffredi, etc.), he started pumping out some of the best gonzo titles going -- "Dirty Tricks," "Fresh Meat," and "The Voyeur" - in addition to freaky features like "Drop Sex" and "Dog Walker." "The Voyeur" is like most gonzos, except there are "stories" to the sexing - generally dark stuff with guys cheating on gals or vice versa, or people sneaking quickies, or criminals "taking favors" - and they're all shot in a predominantly peeping tom style: lots of peering behind windows and corners, handheld running after subjects, that kind of thing. Of course, they're not like that every second (something 100% along those lines would be totally fucking boring to watch), but still it's a decent style to flaunt.

"The Voyeur's Favorite Blowjobs and Anals" is exactly what it sounds like: a compilation of all the best B.J. and buttfuck scenes from "The Voyeur" titles (up to 1997), and also some from the "Fresh Meat," "Dirty Tricks" and "Dog Walker" titles to boot. But what separates this comp from others is that, frankly, it doesn't fucking suck. For the most part, Leslie really picked the crème de la crème and packed 2 hours and 10 minutes of scorching sex into one title. There are some great starlets on view here - the late Kristi Lynn, Eva Flowers (hubba hubba!), Candy Apples, Christina Angel - and in some cases, they've done so much laudable work, they're featured more than once. And rightfully so!

The only scene that I think is a throwaway is one featuring Laura Palmer (Scene 2 on the DVD) as she blows some lame-ass rocker dude outside in a parking lot. Yeah, it's outdoor sex and Laura's easy on the eyes, but the guy never seems to achieve wood, and he's got an annoying grin to boot.

Also, the one "new" scene on the DVD - which was made just for this title - features Allyssa Allure getting boffed by a trio of lowlifes in a decrepit apartment. I wasn't too blown away by that one either, but only because Allyssa doesn't quite match my personal tastes. I will say, though, that she's got energy to spare and fills her scene with total sexual lust and eagerness, and all of your Allyssa fans should be more than satisfied.

But the winners...man oh man, I could just go on and on. Kristi Lynn is featured in two scenes, one with the mega-dicks of Mr. Marcus and Julian St. Jox, and the other a hearty gang-bang by a bunch of fellas in a bar. When you see how she inhales cocks, begs to get assfucked, and takes load after load on her waiting face and in her willing mouth, you'll know why so many people rightfully lament her unfortunate and tragic passing. I first discovered the lusty charms of petite, raven-haired beauty Eva Flowers in Leslie's "Fresh Meat: A Ghost Story" (a.k.a. "Fresh Meat 1") and that classic buttplowing by Tom Byron is included here. Both scenes are stiffy-inducers too (the latter features terrific facial and in-the-mouth cumblasts on lovely Eva), but they don't match the Eva/Tom Byron pairing (but then again, not many do - from Leslie or otherwise.)

A scene featuring Jake Steed's jaunt up Sofia Ferrari's Hershey highway (as Paisley Hunter licks and probes) also sizzles. But enough already: I could go on forever about why you should pick up this title. Sometimes, like all on-the-fly gonzos, the lighting is a smidgen dark, or the sound is a tad off, but for the most part it's all slick, professionally done, and well-shot and edited. And the fact that almost all the fucking is white hot makes things that much greater. The only downside is that the extras aren't totally spectacular: four trailers, a lengthy John Leslie bio, brief filmographies for many of the starlets, website info, a photo gallery, a fetish menu (that lets you select scenes by sex act), and a promo for the John Leslie Blues Band CD. Granted, that's a decent number of items, but they don't really add up to much real content in the end. Still, you shouldn't be looking at a title just because of the goodies, and in the case of "The Voyeur's Favorite Blowjobs and Anals," everything you need is in the feature itself.
