Ben Dover's Ass Worshippers

Ben Dover (AKA Steve Perry) has a great track record for finding fresh young faces and putting them on video. He's kind of like the UK's version of Randy West. However, there's always a risk involved when video taping the uninitiated; you never know what kind of performance you'll get out of them. It's really a hit or miss situation which is perfectly demonstrated in this release.

The opening scene kicks things off to a promising start as Amy (a dark haired 18-year-old from South Africa) climbs into Ben's car and flaunts her petite body in front of the camera. When they get back to Ben's place, she shows off her impressive oral skills by sucking Ben and Pascal at the same time. Ben then concentrates on the camera work while Pascal screws her in numerous positions on a couch. Around the 20 minute mark, Pascal finally begins probing Amy's ass with his fingers and soon follows with his cock. Amy has a hard time adjusting to his size at first, but before long Pascal is thrusting in and out of her young asshole with gusto. Ben gets back in the action for the pop shot, coating Amy's lips and tongue with his juice. I don't know if it was the language barrier or her innocent demeanor, but the scene with Maja was a bit unsettling. Maybe it was the glasses she wears throughout the entire scene? Things get back on track in the next scene as Rebecca (credited here as Kinky) brings a friend (Faye) over to Ben's place. This is just a phenomenal scene with great performances and some really impressive camera work. Too bad all the scenes weren't this hot.

As always, VCA has done a great job putting together this DVD. The picture quality is universally crisp with only some slight hints of pixelation. Also, in some instances the camera lens looked like it was dirty. It's easy to overlook the audio on a title like this but I was surprised to hear everything mixed (and recorded) with extreme clarity with no need to crank up the audio to hear the frequent chatter. There's also no cheesy music playing over the scenes which is a plus in my book, especially for this sort of video. I wasn't expecting much in the way of extras making the outtakes compilation a welcome sight. This featurette runs for more than 20 minutes and includes footage from each scene that was cut for various reasons. There are some funny moments but mostly this is stuff that just didn't fit into the flow of their respective scenes. The only other title specific extras are a photo gallery and some static ads (not trailers) for three other Ben Dover movies.

Overall Ben Dover's Ass Worshippers is a slightly better than average gonzo entry thanks to the wonderful scene with Rebecca and Faye. Although Ben has turned out some pretty good stuff here, it's unfortunate that this lesser effort shares a similar name with Jules Jordan's sacrosanct Ass Worship line. Hopefully unobservant fans won't be fooled by this seemingly devious bit of marketing trickery.
