House Party

Popular male talent Barrett Blade launches both his directing career and new studio Original Sin Films with the release of House Party - a title that scores by selecting a very attractive cast, but also has very standard sexual action and some video quality problems that bring down the overall rating.

The premise of this new series (there's already a sequel on the way in a few weeks) is that Barrett is having a party at his house and in each scene a new girl arrives at the door and winds up getting into some naughty fun with one of the males. It's not too far off concept from the kind of thing that Seymore Butts does in most of his titles...but director Blade doesn't yet have Seymore's knack for setting up some really exciting encounters.

First up is blonde Alexis Malone who joins Cheyne Collins on a couch for some fun. After some mutual oral between the two, Cheyne props up Alexis on the edge of the couch for some missionary penetration. This is followed by some doggy and spoon action and then Alexis finishes Cheyne off with a blowjob during which she jerks him off into her mouth.

At this point in the movie, cutie Jadra Holly arrives at the door. We'll see her tease and pose for Barrett during the length of the title, but sadly we never do get to see her have sex with anybody. The next full-blown scene is with August, who teams with Scott Styles for reverse cowgirl, doggy and missionary. August is perhaps the best-looking girl on this DVD (although that's arguable) and her fans should enjoy her performance here.

Barrett gets into his one and only sex scene in the third performance on this title. It's with Charmane Star, and it's not one of the better scenes I've seen from either of these performers. Instead, we get a by-the-numbers pairing that includes standing doggy, cowgirl, missionary and a pop-shot onto Charmane's tongue.

Squirting sensation Tianna Lynn teams with Dez in the next scene, and sure enough - squirts a few times during the action. But the real appeal for porn fans may be Dez's cumshot - which is one of House Party's best facials, much of which lands on Tianna's right eye!

As frequent porn viewers will attest, no porn movie is complete without at least one girl/girl scene - so Barrett gives us one here...between Monique Alexander and Charlie Lane on a bed. Believe it or not, this was actually my favorite scene in House Party, as I was really turned-on watching Monique don a strap-on and take the "dom" role with Charlie Lane.

House Party wraps up with another standard scene - this one between Nadia Styles and Cheyne Collins. There's some 69ing here, followed by reverse cowgirl, spoon, missionary, and a pop-shot onto Nadia's tongue.

One of my biggest complaints about the release was the lack of quality in the video department. I'm not sure if the source material was poor or if we're talking about a transfer problem, but the video showed both a lack of sharpness and some evident pixelation/compression problems. Not enough to ruin the enjoyment of the movie, but not what I'd expect from a new studio like Original Sin Films (whose video quality on the Interactive Sin With Monique Alexander - another title of theirs I recently looked at - was pristine). The audio is presented in 2.0 Dolby, and is also quite average for an adult release.

As far as extras go, House Party doesn't offer a whole lot. Viewers will get a slide show and a cumshot chapter selection, which is separate from the normal chapter selection menu. There's also a page that gives you the web address for Original Sin Films.

First impressions are so important, so I'm not sure House Party was the best way to launch this new studio. I've seen a couple of their other releases, and they were much better - so don't let this release form your opinion of Original Sin Films. If you like Barrett and some of the girls he's brought along, this one might be worth a rental - but if you're looking for a purchase, I think Barrett's other recent release, Keepers is more worth your time and money.
