Now, this is not to say that everything Private does is perfect; the over-dubbing can be an annoyance, and some of the hardcore can be performed rather mechanically (but proficiently) with a distinct lack of real passion. But when it comes to producing some of the best hardcore scenes ever filmed, Private Video simply has no competition.

The cover of their recent back-catalog release, KRUGER PARK, proves just how classy and confidently laid back the company is. The jacket is almost disarming in the simple and innocent way it's designed: a young, very attractive golden-haired girl, wearing a plain orange tee shirt is demurely photographed holding a cute and cuddly baby tiger. If not for the understated caption reading "hardcore action," the casual viewer could never guess that this was the box cover art for a European porno film; instead, it could pass for a rather racy issue of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC video magazine.

But one look at the back of the DVD case will clearly show that this is one dirty little movie. Where most porn packaging is filled with garish close-ups of gaping, inflamed assholes and littered with all kinds of descriptive hyperbole like "a veritable fuck-fest of cum-hungry sluts!" Private shows a certain class with their understated box covers and lack of braggadocio.

So how was KRUGER PARK (the title of which simply refers to setting of the movie)? Well, after falling in love with cover model Blondie, I can only say that it's more of the same excellence for which Private is known. The very first scene takes place in a standard bedroom (albeit a nicely decorated bedroom, not some room at the Crack Hotel which is a common setting for most American porn), and at first looks like a standard, straight suck and fuck fest, featuring cute, bubbly brunette Adele and some generic French dude . Of course another guy happens to peer in through the window, and, much to her delightful surprise, is invited to join in. Soon, both guys are doing their damnedest to fill every gap and hole in her petite body before finishing off with a shot of man-spunk to the face and crotch. The next scene takes place outdoors, as Carol Rouge, who resembles early nineties pop singer Martika (remember her Prince-written hit single, "Love Thy Will Be Done?" --- great song, by the way, but I digress) also takes on two guys in every position and through every orifice physically possible. The superb extras include a helpful cast biography, a trailer, a production note and making of featurette, as well as a series of previews for other Private releases.

I don't mean to overrate KRUGER PARK. All the scenes are straightforward multiple guy, single girl combinations, and no one performer stands out any more than another. But when the biggest gripe is that this DVD fails to transcend mere excellence, how can you go wrong?

One of my favorite scenes was Adele's in this cumblasting movie from PRIVATE. I enjoyed all the different locations in this 2 1/2 hr movie. This DVD is a major must buy for any PRIVATE DVD fan.
