Forbidden Desires (Private)

Private's new release, Forbidden Desires, doesn't quite live up to the high standards of past productions, but it's packed with enough hardcore sex to make up for any shortcomings. In the movie, April Summer plays Debby, a somewhat mysterious proprietor of a "sex club." Apparently her stepdaughter Natalie (played by the gorgeous Drajica Laurent) has just finished boarding school and comes to live with her so she can work in the sex club. The arrangement is never fully fleshed out or explained...but who cares?

On the plane ride to her stepmother's, Natalie seduces a steward and gives him a blowjob. This is the sort of thing I love about Private; they're never afraid of throwing in short and simple blowjob scenes. While most producers feel obligated to break into a full scale sex scene at every opportunity, little blowjob scenes like this help prime the audience and slowly eases them into the movie. Anyway, I don't think a sex scene would have worked too well in that crowded plane. Surprisingly, no one else notices while Natalie sucks this guy's cock and fingers her pussy through her panties. Even after she strokes his load out onto her face, she continues to suck. Did she learn this at boarding school?

The rest of the movie is full of spontaneous and equally contrived sex scenes. For example, when a woman drops off some clothes at Debby's house, she is surrounded by four guys in the living room and decides to take them all on in a decent gangbang scene. Later while working out, Natalie and another girl (Lydia Channel) take on a couple of guys in an improvised weight room. When the guys blow their loads, some more guys walk in and start fucking away. In another scene, Debby's chauffeur is coaxed off the road by two of Natalie's nasty friends (Kai Nobel and Erica Piri) for a quick fuck inside some dark industrial garage of sorts. Most of the fucking takes place on the hood of a Rolls Royce. In an unpredictable conclusion, the chauffeur cums on the car's hood ornament and allows the girls to lick away his mess...whatever. The film ends in a pretty good orgy scene at Debby's sex club.

I liked the orgy scene just fine, but my favorite scene was a pretty basic one-on-one when Natalie takes on Debby's boyfriend/associate. Natalie starts the scene looking really hot in a pair of faded blue jeans and a black top, but she doesn't keep them on very long. Meanwhile, Debby watches the whole scene from a security booth and masturbates. The scene starts with some foot licking (I guess some guys like it) followed by some pussy eating. After Natalie sucks this guys cock for a while, they move right into some doggie style action. After some good vaginal pounding, Debby's boyfriend bends Natalie over for some pretty hard anal. Like on the airplane, Natalie isn't in a hurry to clean up after she takes a load in the face. Instead, she performs a nice sticky post-climax blowjob on this guys' limp dick. This scene is pretty average compared to the others, but it's one of the few where the beautiful Drajica Laurent performs without too many parallel story distractions. Strangely, it's also one of the only scenes where she appears completely nude.

The movie as a whole is only average. For those who like a story with their porn, Forbidden Desires tries to put together something for you, but in the end it's really jumbled and doesn't make much sense at all. The secondary characters do nothing more than provide their genitals for the sex scenes, and the primary characters (Debby and Natalie) do little to set themselves apart from the rest. I guess the point of the story is that there's supposed to be a "forbidden" attraction between Debby and Natalie which is finally consummated in the last scene where they share a mouth full of cum. The "attraction" which is supposed to be the basis of the story isn't well developed or even present until the last quarter of the film. In fact, the box cover does more to proclaim the angle of the story than the film does. Gripes aside, the sex is pretty hot and, with a running time of more than two hours, there's plenty to watch. Even though the bio says Drajica is 27 years old, she easily passes as the late teen she plays in the film with cute firm breasts, flawless skin, and a tight ass. I really liked her performances, but I only wish the director used her to a greater effect. She's easily the centerpiece of this production but I don't feel she gets enough of the spotlight.

The DVD as a whole is pretty average. Shot on video, the transfer looks pretty standard. The image does get grainy at times, especially in some of the underexposed interior scenes where pixelation is also visible. I was constantly adjusting the volume throughout the movie so I could pick up some of the senseless dialogue. Although, I was glad to see that the movie was shot in English so I didn't have to tolerate any dubbing. The audio is also plagued with terrible music that sounds like bad generic 80s rock. I won't deduct for the music, but I think a warning is justified. About the only thing consistent with a Private production are the extras which include cast bios, a photo gallery, and about five trailers. Overall, this is the most disappointing title I've seen from Private. I hope their success hasn't made them complacent. Nevertheless, I would love to see more of Drajica!
