It's Alive...It's Alive!!!

By Spooky
As long as actors like Randy Spears continue to be involved in the adult industry, there's hope that the genre will one day be accepted alongside its mainstream counterpart...he's that good of an actor. Randy gets to show off his comedic talents in Hung Wankenstein, a spoof of Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein, which of course was a spoof itself of the famous Mary Shelley tale. For the record, the title of this Jim Enright directed feature is actually "Hung Wankerstein", as viewers will discover upon putting the disc in their player, but apparently quality control over at Sin City needs a bit of work, as the title is incorrectly spelled on the box cover.

Randy stars as Dr. Wankerstein, a distant relative of the original Dr. Frankenstein. Jason McCain shows up at his office to notify him that he has inherited the family fortune...mainly because every other family relative has turned in down. So while Randy heads off to the castle, Jason stays behind and gets hot and heavy with Randy's nurse, played by Kylie Ireland. Fans of Kylie's already know how hot she is...but put that fantastic body in a nurse's outfit, and you've got something really special!

On his way to the castle, Randy teams up with "Egon" (Anthony Crane), who is of course patterned after the character of Igor (who Marty Feldman played in Brooks' Young Frankenstein). Enright steals some jokes from Brooks here, most notably the funny "Walk this way" routine that always manages to bring a laugh, no matter how many times it is repeated.

Once Randy arrives at the castle and settles in, we are treated to a lesbian sequence between Isabella Camille and Ava Vincent that really has nothing to do with the rest of the film, other than to introduce us to Ava's character, and of course provide us with the obligatory lesbian scene. In fact, even the girls here tell Randy that "we're nine pages into the script and we need another sex scene!"

Ron Jeremy fans (and you know who you are!) should enjoy a flashback sequence in which Ron makes out with another porn legend, Shanna McCullough. Since the scene is a flashback, it is filmed in black and white, and director Enright makes a wise decision by not switching back to color once the sex has started. I've seen far too many adult features (the Double Feature movies are a good example) where a sequence will start in black and white but switch to color for the sex...just because the powers that be feel that no fan is going to want to sit through a sex sequence that is in black and white.

Randy finally gets to meet "The Monster", who is played by Evan Stone and suffers from being not that well-endowed because his original creators apparently ran out of parts! So Randy bestows the creation (in a hilarious operation scene, that is so funny, you'll forget about the sex and just sit back and laugh) with a brand new penis, which of course Evan uses on Ava Vincent in the very next sequence.

However, the best scene with Ava (and the best one in the movie), is not with Evan, but with Randy. After she has finished making out with "The Monster", Ava is still horny and heads off to Randy's room for some more fun. Randy is only too happy to oblige, and he takes Ava in both the cowgirl and doggy positions before he gives her an extremely hot facial that cumshot fans are sure to playback several times.

The movie concludes with Randy constructing his own "Bride of Frankenstein" (played by Felicia Fox), who makes sure Randy sees a little more action before the film's conclusion, although this scene is not nearly as hot as the previous one with Ava.

The film is presented in the letterbox format, and both the audio and video are well-done and above average. The features on this Sin City DVD (while still giving us the phone sex ads and website info that you can't skip over, plus the same six previews that have been seen on dozens of other Sin City discs) offer a nice behind the scenes featurette and an additional bloopers segment that is sure to add a few more laughs to your viewing experience.

Overall, this is one of the best Sin City DVDs on the market, and one of the more entertaining adult releases to see the digital format this year. Special kudos to Randy Spears and Anthony Crane for their outstanding comedic performances in this movie, and of course, the sex is pretty hot as well, especially if you are a fan of Ava Vincent, who gets three of the film's six sex scenes.

If you're looking for something that will tickle your funny bone at the same time it's arousing your other "bone", then be sure to take a look at Hung Wankenstein!
