Cyber Sucks

By Joe Blow
Ok, ANGEL EYES, a Sin City 2001 DVD release of a 1999 Michael Raven film, doesn't really "suck" (although the ladies do quite expertly) but it is fairly standard porno fare with all the predictability of one of Jay Leno's monologue jokes. Nevertheless, fans of Stephanie Swift (who looks quite delectable here) will enjoy seeing her in two hot scenes in this generally well-photographed and directed offering. The "romance" nature of the plot might also make ANGEL EYES acceptable for open-minded couples viewing.

Stephanie plays bored housewife to equally bored husband, John Decker. The two lament their dull married sex life and, unbeknownst to one another, each carry on a cyber-sex affair with an anonymous internet partner. ("Angel Eyes" is the screen name of the lady John is chatting with - Of course, any viewer with more than two brain cells knocking together will figure out that these two knuckleheads have been cybering with each other all along - for some reason, I kept hearing the "Pina Colada" song running through my brain while watching this flick).

Anyway, before we get to the romance intrigue, John heads out for a night of poker with buddies, Eric Price and Pat Myne. Before you can say "seven-card stud," the hired "entertainment" arrives in the form of sexy, petite, Blair Segal and Jennifer Leigh. Pat settles himself into a big easy chair where he receives a dual BJ from the ladies before Jennifer settles onto his shlong for some reverse-cowgirl action while he licks Blair. Jennifer also gets some doggy action from Pat before Blair gets her turn and Pat leaves some liquid poker winnings on the ladies faces. The two ladies look fine (I always enjoy seeing Blair's energetic BJ's) but this scene is fairly routine and uninteresting.

Back at home, Stephanie fingers herself to gooey delight after having a cyber typing session with her fantasy lover. The next day, Stephanie confides in friend, Julie Meadows about her marital problems and illicit computer fun. Julie, who probably won't be a guest on the Dr. Laura show anytime soon, recommends that Stephanie go out and have a real affair with cyber-dude. Meanwhile, Eric talks to John about John's limp homelife and suggests that John consider a threesome with his wife and Julie. Unfortunately, John only fantasizes about fucking the trim Julie at which point we are treated to another fairly standard suck and fuck session between the two. Nevertheless, Julie, with her firm, trim figure, looks great, particularly when receiving some bouncy reverse cowgirl action and getting a faceful of jizz.

In the meantime, Stephanie has a fantasy session with her cyber partner, the human jackhammer, TT Boy (although it was odd that Stephanie would fantasize about a guy wearing a condom. Oh well...) Stephanie looks really fine here with her trim, natural figure and wonderfully smooth, creamy, tanned, skin. The two trade off the usual oral favors (although Stephanie's tiny mouth looked like it was certainly struggling to get around TT's gorging unit) and Stephanie takes it a number of positions (with Stephanie looking particularly terrific while banging doggy style). TT also gives his usual energetic performance as he relentlessly pounds away at Stephanie's luscious hole and leaves a creamy deposit on her torso. (However, given that this is supposed to be a romantic flick, TT appears to hold back somewhat on the rough, animalistic performances he has shown in other films).

Eric has his own fantasy session with curvy, Jill Kelly, after he discovers her photo attached to Eric's e-mail from "Angel Eyes." Although being well shot with some nice soft lighting, this scene is also fairly routine with Jill taking Eric in the doggy and reverse cowgirl positions and Eric's splooge in her waiting mouth. Nevertheless, Jill's "dirty talk" during this scene was a welcome change from the grunts and groans of the other scenes.

Eric and Stephanie finally decide to take the plunge with their respective internet lovers and are surprised to see each other when they meet at the agreed location. However, shock and anger quickly gives way to romance as the two renew their marital love for each other with yet another suck and fuck session with Stephanie getting some of Eric's husbandly goo again on her firm torso.

Basically, apart from the dopey, predictable plot, goofy dialogue, and fairly standard action lacking any interesting situational excitement, ANGEL EYES, with its good direction, audible sound and pleasantly soft lighting, certainly looks better than most of the run-of-the mill, slapdash porn on the market. The ladies all look fine and Stephanie undoubtedly has a great, natural-looking figure, thankfully free of piercing, tattoos, etc. Minimal extras include a slide show and six previews. Bottom line, if you are a true Stephanie Swift fan, she certainly looks luscious here and gives a good performance. If people having cyber-sex on the internet all looked like Stephanie, I wouldn't mind developing some carpal tunnel syndrome.

So angelic, it's just too pure for porn.

When you've got Stephanie Swift in your movie, it's my feeling that you should use her. This tight-bodied slut has done some amazingly kinky work for Elegant Angel and the Evil Empire, so why would anyone want to see her do tepid stuff? To see "range"? Maybe some folks wanna see something like that, but I enjoy seeing her with cum on her face and a dick up her butt, thank you very much.

In "Angel Eyes," Stephanie's a demure housewife to studly John Decker, who longs for a more sexual partner in bed. He cruises cyberspace, and strikes up a relationship with a woman called "Angel Eyes" (who looks a lot like Jill Kelly, don'tcha know). He thinks Angel Eyes might be the partner he seeks to polish his needy knob. Fucking is all around him, like when Eric Price gets action from Jennifer Leigh and Blair Segal at a guy's-night-out poker game. John and Pat Myne watch as Eric gets sex from these two semi-homely but vigorous ladies. I wish I could say it was truly exciting fucking, but it isn't; it's merely energetic, that's all. The usual positions, and the general expressions. What's really lame is that when Eric cums (or should I say tries to cum) on Jennifer's body, nothing, well, comes out of his cock. He just grunts and moans a lot.

Meanwhile, we see that Stephanie's actually in cyberchats with a fella named "HardStud", and she finds a provocative picture from him in her e-mail account. As she fantasizes about her cyber-lover and diddles her twat and rubs her nipple, John comes up the stairs. He says he was just online too. (Hmmm, you can see where this is headed a mile away....) The next day, she talks with galpal Julie Meadows and she tells Stephanie to have an affair, and that it'd be great. John, on the other hand, is at work talking with Pat, who tells him that he should actually ask Stephanie to do kinky shit with him if that's what he wants. (Who'd-a thunk that guys would want more "communication" than the chicks?) Pat tells John that a perfect thing would be to have fun with both Stephanie and Julie. That gets John's mind racing, and he fantasizes about fucking Julie. Unfortunately, it's not a very inspired fantasy, because all he does after she blows him is cowgirl, reverse cowgirl and doggy her. Yawn. The cumshot on her chin is OK (at least you can see it) but nothing amazing.

Stephanie keeps having cybersex with the mysterious "HardStud," and fantasizes that he looks like T.T. Boy. Now, you know you're in trouble when you see a gentle T.T. Boy scene (not that I enjoy his vicious ones either). After the imaginary T.T. eats Stephanie's labes and she gives him an eager blowjob, she takes him reverse cowgirl, doggy and missionary style. It's mindboggling to see T.T. so reserved. Even the spoo shot is "tasteful": right on her belly, at least on those random moments where you actually see the goo landing. For the most part, it looks like his cum is flying into the air with no impact on her body at all.

Pat, in the meantime, sees a pic of Angel Eyes on John's computer and tells John that he's gonna bang her before the guy gets a chance. That makes John - you guessed it - fantasize about Pat and Jill Kelly/Angel Eyes having a romantically-lit encounter in a living room. Even Jill is lukewarm here, with a decent cocksucking (she really inhales it) but standard multi-positioned fucking after that. The cumshot, at least, is very good, with a strong blast inside her mouth with a lot of dribble afterwards.

John's desperation prompts him to set up a meeting with Angel Eyes in a hotel and, lo and behold, it's his own wife. They have a sensitive discussion about the need for communication, before - shockola - they fuck. I mean, make love. He eats her. She blows him. Reverse cowgirl. Missionary. Cum on tits. Kiss. The end.

I hate to come across as being so anti-couples porn, but I honestly don't think that's the case with me. I think a lot of John Leslie features ("Chameleons," "The Tease", etc.) or '70s-era titles ("Anytime, Anyplace", "Taboo') are great couples material, with decent stories, acting and sex. "Angel Eyes" is yet another unimpressive entry in the genre.

In terms of extras, there are six trailers, a photo gallery, a website promo, phone sex ads, and animated chapters that are oddly sped up in a ridiculously cartoonish fashion. Not a bad selection, but you need a good movie, first and foremost, in order to buy a title, and that is what's most sorely lacking here.
