Fashionably Laid

Beautiful Nautica Thorn looks hot, sexy and stylin' on the box cover of the cleverly titled FASHIONABLY LAID. This Platinum X Pictures production takes the old (and in so many ways, very, very tired) gonzo formula and puts a slight spin on it by incorporating an element of attraction which is almost anathema to porn, namely, clothing. Most gonzo productions are so visually tacky and cheap that any attempt to improve their quality should be strongly encouraged, so I applaud PXP for their newfound fashion sense.

Now the outfits here probably won't be featured in any upcoming edition of "Vogue" or "Cosmopolitan" nor will they be incorporated in the next Andrew Blake or even Suze Randall film. However, it is nice to see a hottie like Miss Thorn dressed in something other than a generic bikini or trashy lingerie, which is the fashionable standard for most gonzo videos. I didn't care for all of these designs (I all I need to see is a pair of high heels, plaid skirt, and a tight white shirt), but at least the look of FASHIONABLY LAID is somewhat refreshing and shows there more to gonzo than just endless anal play.

Naturally, Nautica opens up this movie (and herself) by wearing the same black plastic/vinyl clothes as seen on the packaging. We follow her walking into a room and up to Sean Michaels who quickly falls for her seductive ways, which is teasing and playful in a Jenna Haze sort of way. (It occurred to me the more I watched her in this scene and during the Behind The Scenes segment of this DVD that her personality and looks are very close to that of the legendary Miss Haze. Check it out for yourself.) After lapping up her tits greedily, he tongues her pussy and bunghole while fingering her clit. Nautica then gobbles up his third leg and the two go at it (anal-lessly) until he unleashes a modest quantity of goo on her face.

Tianna Lynn is on display for us next, dressed in a black nightie and a masquerade which actually accentuates her very lovely eyes. The video and audio quality of this Platinum X Pictures is excellent. It's great to see this studio has made great strides in improving the look of their videos for the past several years. The bonus materials are your standard presentation (Photo Shoot, Photo Gallery, a Behind The Scenes featurette, Cum Shot Recap and trailers) but still enjoyable nevertheless. I particularly enjoyed watching more of Nautica Thorn vamping it up for the still cameras and getting prepared for her scene with Mr. Michaels.

FASHIONABLY LAID isn't the high falutin' presentation I thought it would be, but I found it enjoyable and well worth a look.
