They tried for a story...

By Richard
All in all, they didn't do too badly. I liked the idea of telling the story of this bracelet. I really think they should have thought out the last/first scene better. Who are these people? The one lady is a vampire, or something...I'm not sure exactly why she is there. But past that, the story of the "Glamourpuss" bracelet is nice. At least a porn tried to tell a story for once.

Even the girl in the 1940's scene was great. I'm not usually one for the smaller breasted women, but there's a first person shot in there with her face covered in pre-cum (actually probably lube or something, in the behind the scenes footage the first girl has enough fluid on his dick to blow bubbles with it). Something about that shot just stirred something deep in my loins...

I liked just about every scene in this DVD. From the showgirl at Vaudeville and on up. I really liked the movie star scene. Great body, great tits, and a great line: "You can fuck me, but you can't mess up my makeup." Too good!

The only scene that didn't do much for me was the hippie chick fucking the "Elvis" guy. The girl wasn't that attractive, and I didn't see anything I hadn't seen in the previous scenes. I've noticed that directors in your standard porn will do the sexual positions in the same order, and you learn quickly what turns him on and what doesn't. The only thing that gets mixed up is the location of the cumshot. I wish more girls were more enthusiastic about facials and mouth cumshots. Although I've seen lots of interesting ways in which they spit it out!

This video ends with a darn good scene. Probably the best two-girl blowjob I've seen. And I've seen quite a few.

As far as technical features, I gave this DVD an above average because of it's behind the scenes video. I think every DVD should include some behind the scenes shots. Too often the extra features on porn DVDs are poorly thought out, or aren't even about the feature. I bumped up their score for the extra effort.

Video quality was pretty good, no video to DVD defects or anything like that. Good quality.

Sound never does much for me, but I had no problems with the sound in this feature. You won't miss a grunt or moan, trust me.

All in all this is pretty standard porn fare. Like my fellow reviewer said, this is a pretty good entry level flick, and it's nothing your girlfriend will probably run in fear from, or think you're a major pervert for showing her. If you want something hardcore but not disgusting, and something with a bit of a story, pick up this DVD.

Romance is not gone.

Here's a decent couples film. If you're new to adult entertainment or maybe trying to break the ice with the significant other - I recommend "Of Time and Passion". Veteran porn writer Raven Touchstone and director Jerome Tanner created an interesting plot-driven flick about one woman's reflections of "how things used to be". That is to say, "How sex used to be."

The movie begins with Nina speaking to Misty and Joel Lawrence, while lying in a coffin. She is dead, yes. The point of the story is sex used to be fun, romantic and exciting. Nina expresses this clearly just by being a dead person. Life is short, so enjoy it! There are four separate scenarios helping illustrate her point. Each vignette is set in a different time period of the twentieth century. Finalizing the film, Nina gets to mend her saddened libido with Misty and Joel in scene five. See... there is a happy ending to the seemingly melancholy life of Nina's character.

1925 Vaudeville. Kyle Stone and Inari Vachs engage in some good ol' fashioned hanky-panky backstage. This dressing room tryst utilizes some interesting positions, Inari is quite flexible. The sexual action includes finger fucking, cunnilingus and a fair blowjob. The reverse-cowgirl fuck sequence is especially appetizing. On to Hollywood, baby! Mark Davis and Sadie Jordan bang the night away at a 'premiere'. Yes, backstage the two lovers fuck and suck with believable passion. Moving right along... wartime. Furlough in 1943. Todd Alexander and Lola portray G.I. and anxious girlfriend. Well, the sex in this scene rather mimics that of the last scene, but it's still not too bad. Scene four takes home the blue ribbon. Dave Hardman plays Kelsey Heart's prom date circa 1975. Dave shows up at the door dressed like Elvis. Kelsey is ready to shit herself when she lays eyes on this character. But hey, a quickie might help alleviate that stress! These two get down-n-dirty. Very sweaty and fiery sex make for some decent porn, here. As stated earlier, the finale allows poor deceased Nina to have her 'last stand'. In the casket room, Joel, Misty and Nina break out into a fair three-way jam. Included acts: lesbian, blowjobs, sixty-nines and fucking.

Each segment is connected each other. Nina explains briefly, but it is the dialogue delivered during individual stories that make it all clear. The link is a bracelet. The Glamour Puss bracelet. Yes... Glamour Puss. The film does a pretty good job of interlocking the time periods and people by way of this passed-along piece of jewelry. You'll see what I mean when you watch it. One just has to pay attention with the big head, for a little while at least.

This feature is not too bad. Couples seeking mild erotica with an interesting plot will appreciate "Of Time and Passion". First time porn buyer? If so, this is a good DVD for an intro to graphic erotica. There is nothing too overwhelming contained within. Standard sex choreography makes for the mildness. Viewers will not find any 'raw' sex action such as anal or d.p.'s. The dvd extras aren't anything spectacular, but the film quality is good. So, if your not looking for lewd and taboo, pick up a copy.
